Its built on Ethereum platform. Use Genoil's ethminer or Claymore's miner for mining. You're comparing an established platform with backing from leading multinational corporations and a market cap of approx 4.7B to a fledgling crypto that may or may not gain traction and establish a user base, and you're saying that MUSICOIN is cheap on the basis of that comparison. Why didn't you compare it to bitcoin or Google shares instead? It's all like for like comparisons right?
I'm not saying that MUSICOIN can't be successful in 10 years time, anything's possible in crypto. What I'm saying is that it's important that investors understand that the supply of this coin will grow massively and rapidly, no one disputes that so far. An increase in supply has a inflationary effect, i.e. it devalues the currency. Many cryptos have a deflationary halving built into the protocol and this has the effect of rewarding early investors by limiting the future supply of the coin. Unlike Musicoin, Ethereum will never exceed around 110M Ether. Musicoin does not have any mechanism to protect early investors from the inflationary effect of the protocol, on the contrary early investors will be disadvantaged because the coin will be devalued over time as new coins are perpetually created at a rate of around 1.8M per day.
you are right to have this concern as i have too questioned the coin supply around page 25, and he result was the price should be somewhere between 11k sat and 11 sat. Which is exactly what they have delivered. the best answer i got was this: Development is in very early stages of determining next best steps to change from PoW at this time. I don't want to give away their secrets, but I know they're looking at potentially using Proof of Space rather than Proof of Stake due to the nature of the project. I'll update the thread when they reach a consensus on a plan of action.
so there you go...proceed with caution. unless you can increase demand personally yourself by 1.8 mio a day, i'd say go mine some right now and watch for dev update. |

To all people saying that the will be huge inflation with this infinite block size.
Well lets wait for 10 years and see how it will work in future.
But right now, if it so important for you to calculate the coin price based on total max supply well
right now its 78 000 000 MUSIC ever existing. And there is 90 000 000 ETH ever existing right now.
Price for MUSIC is 0.00000825 BTC. Price for ETH is 0.049 BTC.
So using your logic the price for MUSIC right now should be at least 0.055 BTC.
And i dont know what are you waiting for and not running buying cheap MUSIC before it will be too late.
The point of my message is Total Coin Supply worth shit in terms on avaluating real coin price. It is what it is.
You're assuming demand is (nearly) equal for Music oin as it is for ETH, which is a long way from being proven. And by the time the demand might get there, the supply will be much much much greater. You can't just wave away half of supply & demand.  |

I bought it cause I thought what a great idea, until that unlimited supply was revealed ... It's a shame cause it could have had such big potential. see you at around 0.00000025 (25 sat) or lower, maybe than I'll buy again. |

The unlimited supply doesn't concern most since everyone here is buying this as a short term investment pretty much. What matters now is the current supply not the supply in 10 years. |

My new pool was pretty stable and mined around 6 blocks yesterday by 2 miners with ~70 MH of mining power. Payouts also ran fine with no pending balance. This is panic selling because of supply issue and soon it will be back up as many people will be out at lower prices. There is always risk whenever and wherever to invest money. I have some buy orders at low rates and hopeful to see them get filled. This market will be good for trading.
