I have seen this a while ago, https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bitcoin-based-peer-to-peer-insurance-company-teambrella-releases-pre-launch-demo-version-1473441122/

Disclaimer : I have not tested it, and I know very little about it. I just flagged it for further research, because the concept was interesting

to me.  Grin ....This grabbed my attention : " Teambrella is set to become the first decentralized bitcoin-based insurance company, where users

insure each other."

This is fascinating, but it's not available yet. There's a 'demo' version on their website: https://teambrella.com/

Good day! i'm currently working on a life insurance company and I'm wondering if there is a company in the world that offers an insurance policy where in you can pay in bitcoin? I think it will be a good idea because it will be more convenient to pay in bitcoin. What do you think?

way more convenient methods like cards or mobile payment. Though there might be a market out there to insure bitcoins for fiat, after all the instability of bitcoin is why many companies won't accept it but the other way round may be more profitable and accessible

It was reported that American Century Life was accepting bitcoin payments http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/american-century-life-to-accept-payments-in-bitcoins-300047910.html (You can buy Life Insurance from this website)

Also, in 2013, Inguard started accepting bitcoin payments and here you can get more information: www.inguard.com/manage/make-a-payment

I do not think that this exists because assurance companies are very tied to banks and state. Also Bitcoin is still not very well-known. For sure there is not any in my country.

I dont think there is anyone who will accept bitcoin as a payment to their insurance services as the price of bitcoin is not stable unlike fiat which is their main currency accepted. Maybe if you buy an insurance to them then the hospital must accept bitcoin too but I dont think theres any out there accepting it. If you're dependent are willing to receive bitcoin too then it will be a good trade.

So stop to say about the privacy had given by bitcoin to you.Someone sign on the insurance need to provide his ID and it will automatically PROVE our id.At least if the firm can take care of with the member's ID and it's not a problem.

Always changing prices, the government does not manage BTC, very difficult

I believe the premium can have a fixed fiat price and the btc paid is adjusted.

I haven't heard of any insurance company (at least none in my country) that accept btc for payment. Of course you can arrange with the agent that you'd send him btc and then he'd convert that to fiat but I find that risky. Maybe it's possible to deposit btc to your bank account? If it is then you can just have the premium auto-deducted from you account.

With regard to payment for insurance Bitcoins have not heard yet, but here's the security sphere needs exactly it blockchain. This will significantly increase the number of insurance products and making them more flexible and convenient. And Bitcoin payment account, soon everything will come to this.

I second your idea but i don't know of any insurance company yet but you can still go through with it if you don't mind paying some small transaction fees through third parties like purse.io and shopawl

I really like the way you thinking outside the box and trying to expand the reach of the might that is bitcoin but as another member has said the voilotile nature of bitcoin combined the the somewhat voilotile nature of insurance it may prove to be problematic and I would love to see how you solve this. I think you will have to do it according to the $ value but what if that changes quickly ?

I am not trying to be nasty or anything but this is something you must think of. Now for the solution this is where the cash dollar hangs.
Of tou serious about this I wish you the best.

Not only insurance companies should accept Bitcoin payments, it would be great if its acceptance is of such wide spread that not being able to pay with it is the exception! Its exclusive character is probably not going to disappear any time soon. I personally wouldn't pay for my insurance with Bitcoin because my employer takes care of that automatically, but there probably are some people who gladly would.

To my knowledge none exist, however the concept is ok and I guess it could work under the right circumstances. Right now I don't think I would use such a service, and I also have no idea how effective it will be in a broader marketplace. Either way, it's probably not a bad idea to be honest, you just need to make sure the market exists.
