I'll back up ryepdx (full disclosure: my chips are going to Stumptown Miners). Shipping within the US can be overnight regardless of which state you're in, so it doesn't matter a whole lot. The real issue is shipping between countries (not to mention the taxes and customs that may involve).
I can testify that ryepdx has put in a lot of work finding good prices and getting things ready to go the minute the chips show up. I've got full faith we're going to have an impressive turnaround.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Hey guys I just called Gary and he said the reason why the sample chips are stuck in customs is because Avalon put the value for them at $3 and we were just unlucky and were part of their random check. He also said Avalon should not just put them as "IC Chips" and so that's why customs thought it was fishy. I told him that they were basically un-programmed ASIC Chips and he said that's what he needs to clear with customs. So it should be cleared by tomorrow.

Has anyone from this group buy found a Europe-based assembly service that has sufficient board volumes that it will go to production once this group buy ships?
There are a number of them that don't have enough boards from this group buy, and therefore chips that come to them from this (first) group buy won't go into production until there enough from other group buys.
