Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Come on guys, zefir is on batch 5 already. lets get this moving along.

The minutes count here guys, as we are entering a queue with other buyers.  JohnK are we missing any major contributors that are being accounted for in your finalized values?

yup got a guy with 100+ BTC and my own little group of RL friends for ~45BTC ... I'm waiting on MTGOX money transfer right now

When do you plan to put your money in?  It's a little harder to be positive about this taking off when the leader isn't even in yet.

yeah I'd think that would of been thought through..  anything hinging on mt gox is ripe for failure..  i was screwed 24hours just for resetting my password, and they seem to sit for weeks on other things

Oh, ok.  Can one still join in even if they didn't sign up previously?  Is is a matter of who sends the coins in first at this point?

So if we don't get about 270 more BTC contributed before May 1, does everyone just get a refund of their BTC?

We aren't in danger of this, there is a large number of BTC confirmed by people who have been providing adequate communication.

I am mostly concerned about ensuring that we get in the line fast so that we hit the first set and don't get held up by limited bandwidth from TSMC or Avalon.

Yes, it's first-come-first-serve at the moment.

So... if I sent in more BTC, I could get more chips?  Wink

Yes, of course. Apart from RagingAzn628 and Ataxx's pledge (where both promised that they'll clear in this week), anyone else who did not communicate with me regarding their payments will be kicked if more funds come in.

PS: The spreadsheet says that the pledges are full (782.34860001/782.1), but there's still around 95~ BTC to be filled from delayed paying pledges.

When new funds come in. For example, if 50BTC came in now, I'd kick most non payers off the list instantly.

So are there some people who aren't paying via the escrow address? I only see ~547 BTC received there.

OP and Ataxx promised to me that they'll pay ASAP once their funds go through Mt.Gox, so I'm removing ~150BTC from the count atm.

I have confirmation that Ataxx will be sending around 200BTC ASAP, so most if not all of the void will be filled then.

Well, I only have some change to spare, but I'll throw you what I mined since I sent in the last funds.

What is the exact cost per chip including fees? (so I don't mess up this time!)

1.0744 will net you 13 chips, so do the math. =) (0.08264615384615384615384615384615~ per chip)
Alternatively, just take a look at prior pledges in the spreadsheet and you'll get a pretty good idea of the amount.  Wink
