Because you're stealing resources. University computers are meant to cater to student activities and learning, and running miners on them impedes that and significantly contributes to wear and tear. Mining also costs electricity, so it could be said that you're basically converting your university's electricity to cash.

Basically, if you don't want someone else installing silent miners on your computer, you should assume others won't like it if you installed silent miners in theirs either.

not only wrong but also pretty useless,stealing in this case doesn't pay off
besides I expect people at a university of any kind be computer literate and you won't be able to get away with it for long
so forget about the idea and find some other way to earn money,some say getting a job is pretty effective
