That's a scary thing to think about though i don't think it's impossible. If ever a third world war breaks out it cannstart from many fronts. Possibly in the pacific, with china and the us heating up with territorial issues, or in the middle east. There's a lot of misunderstanding and division right now and hopefully world leaders would arrive at a peaceful resolution to these issues. I agree, we cant be sure that WWIII havent already started. Strategies, tactics, weapon, all change from war to war. I dont see big open conflict between USA, Russia or China, I think they are gonna use their smaller allies as dummy soldiers, and make war from shadow.

It seems to me that the strategy of warfare has changed. Countries do not want to fight each other and face someone else's hands on foreign soil. Syria is an example. While I can see that America is more cowardly than the Russian, but things can change.

To me, all that is happening is not World war 3 because everyone of them still try as much to streamline who they are battling with in addition to the fact that they are still using soldiers to fight so I will regard that as peace keeping missions. If a full blown out world war should happen then it wont be about soldiers or weapons it will be about bio-technology that does not streamline its target or choose who or what its going to kill. Don't be panic. In any war there are always winners and losers.Even if the nuclear war. While I certainly think that nuclear war will not. But conventional weapons will fight that's for sure.
