Hi guys,
Haven't updated this for a while but I just built my first dummy. Plugged it in the back of my card, no errors anymore and everything works perfectly. Even got temp monitoring back Cheesy

I just saw this today.  I'm glad to hear everything is working again.  This is the first confirmation I've seen that the dummy plugs for sure take care of this problem which I have seen reported several times now in different places.

If you don't mind I have 3 questions.

What version of CGMiner are you using?

What catalyst version?

What OpenCL SDK/Runtime?

Thanks,
Sam

1) 2.11.3 - March 17, 2013

2) For some reason when I search for catalyst control center, it comes up with AMD VISION Engine Control Center instead. When I click on it to open it up, nothing every opens up, so I think something might be broken there Wink Let me know if there is a log or file somewhere that could get you the info you need.

3) Not entirely sure how to find out about this one, however in my program files there is this: AMD APP SDK v2 (hopefully that's what you're looking for. If not let me know how and where to find out)

Sorry I could only really help with cgminer, but if you let me know where I can find this out, I'll get back to you straight away.

Cheers

Well if your using Windoze you can find out with GPU Shark or GPU Caps Viewer.  These will tell you the software version plus other useful information.

I was just curious as to what versions and combinations of software cause these issues.
Thanks,
Sam

Hi guys,
Haven't updated this for a while but I just built my first dummy. Plugged it in the back of my card, no errors anymore and everything works perfectly. Even got temp monitoring back Cheesy
Do you mean temp monitoring inside RDP-session is back?

Sure, find the catalyst version that doesn't need them.
