Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

The reason the price is sliding is simple: the public sgminer Neoscrypt mining software is rubbish. A number of coders have produced modded kernels that hash at 590mhs, instead of 323mhs with a R9 290 GPU as an example.

This has been sold on to other miners, therefore the general macro economics of coin distribution is messed up Huh Therefore, 10% of miners are mining at 193% hash output, 90% of miners are hashing at 100%: therefore, you have 19% mining for short term profitability reasons (on newish alt coin it should be under 15%), which creates extra sell pressures on the exchanges and the coin price trends downwards over time.

The developers team could purchase the modded kernel, from someone like Wolf0 (AMD) for a couple of Bitcoins and publicly release it to all miners, but they don't. Let's not speculate why they don't Lips sealed

I agree with your reasoning of the drop of coin price. Some people can make money out of it, why not mine and sell.

Everyone has a chance to make some profit.

Yeah Roll Eyes

Timing is going to be all important  Wink

Because, once that those modded Kernels and Bins get leaked or go open source, FTC price will creep back up to 0.00004BTC.

Network gravity well equation will adjust difficulty to disperse coins evenly again, sell pressure on FTC will become normal Wink

Therefore, buying up a position in FTC is tricky to judge, e.g. the bottom of the sell pressure versus the date when the snap back in price begins Tongue

Just a reminder: a Neoscrypt CCminer is underdevelopment for Nvidia GPUs like 750TI

The Block Factory Neoscrypt mining pools using 128Diff is achieving 150khs per 750TI GPU as an example.

Early access is avaliable for BTC pledges, very low pledge level. Crowdfunding campaign is nearly finished.

Personal Message djm34 for pledges to gain early access.

Main thread is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=916336.0

That's not your wallet, its your anti-virus. Its a common issue, with some anti-virus software it happens with all wallets, just ignore the message and carry on. As long as you are downloading it from the official feathercoin site everything should be shiggy-diggy

Yeah, i'm aware of that, i've got loads of wallets - and a pre-neoscrypt ftc wallet, but this one won't even let me ignore the warning.

It's doing a Gandalf 'you shall not pass' kinda thing...

Just switch of your anti-virus (everything except the firewall), I'm having to do it regularly basis with AVG Internet Security.

Switch it back after you shut the wallet down.
