I submitted a support question to them. Wallet is only listed as "offline", with no reason given such as upgrade/sync.

Take this with a grain of salt. I hear that the ICO ban and Exchange closure rumours have been used as a bit of a price manipulation tool. The ICO ban appears to be legitimate but the Chinese exchange closures appear to be rumour only.

Bter and Bittrex market prices show a huge discrepancy to reflect investor confidence.


But as I was saying, the exchange closures could be rumour only to manipulate prices while those in the know buy in. I would not be surprised that while all that is happening, miners are getting in(also as investors) while those with weak hands make an exit. This is one explanation for the graph and current market landscape.... And that's my theory only.

Like I said, its a theory.  An increase in difficulty normally is the result of an increase in miners but may be attributed to other factors. Anyone who is trading on fundamental analysis would also have to consider what all the given information means.

There was an update to the neoscrypt source from Ghostlander and this was implemented in one of our development branches...none of that code is live.

I mined BTC and LTC for negative profit....i'm not sorry now. :-)

Not for very long. There were 4 such "tests" over the course of a day if you look up wrapper's initial analysis of it on the main forum.

Diff is slower to come down than it is to go up, and from a shock like that it had a longer way to drop, but it did, and was back to "normal" levels pretty quickly. What it will do is throw people off mining FTC based on whattomine's long-term average profitability sorting.
