Personally, I don't know much about coinbase... However i believe most wallets give you the option of creating

multiple bitcoin addresses. If it allows you to, there should be no issue and if you feel the need to have multiple

addresses then go for it.

You have one "primary" address and then you can have multiple addresses for different purposes.

If you are asking about bitcoin addresses, the answer is YES. You can create as many number of addresses as you wish with coinbase.

Just login to your account, goto Accounts and then your BTC wallet and click "Wallet address" on the top-right corner. By clicking on "wallet address" option everytime, it'll generate a new bitcoin address everytime that will be linked to your main coinbase wallet.

The same thing just with blockchain you can just create as many address as you can with you coinbase account. And I used this feature when I was still using coinbase but not anymore and I can say that I didn't experience any problems or hassle upon doing that thing.
So you should be fine upon doing this.
