I just joined the signature campaign, there will be no risk if chronobank really a scam, just a waste of time. Roll Eyes
But you are happy to advertise something you think may well be a scam?
That is morally grey at best, definitely not friendly to try to rope people into a project that you feel might be a scam.

I saw the facebook adverts and read up on Chronobank. It might well rise in value, but it is an idea that will never actually work, so long term it is pointless.  It just depends if Polonie adds it or not, if it does then it will pump and the ICO investors (those who them quickly dump) will do well, otherwise I expect that no one will do very well out of it.

okay so ico is over and its all too late to warn users about them being scammed. but why not? lets shout scam! its not like we can get our btc back Cheesy

Chrinobank team isn't running a way though but like the rest of the scam these days, they might not distribute the TIME as they say but keep the people from waiting. thats how ICO scam works these days.

Precisely...

Let's check Chronobank thread in Jan 2018. Long term bagholders MIGHT have started to complain by then.

Anyways, ICO is now over.

GOOD LUCK INVESTORS. EITHER I WILL HUMBLE MYSELF WHEN I SEE THE BLOCKCHAIN IS EXISTING IN REALITY, OR I WILL BE MAKING AN "I TOLD YOU SO" THREAD.

People, please don't get me wrong. I am not calling scam because I want anyone to lose money. I don't want anyone to lose money. It is ALWAYS bad for the industry when people lose money. I just don't believe that there will EVER be a Chronobank blockchain. I believe there is only ONE INDIVIDUAL who is going to get a lot of BTC and then disappear.

There will be a long roadmap, investors will clap hard at the ingenuity of it, but in the end there will be..... NOTHING.

I just hope I'm wrong and everyone makes great profit!

I was pretty close to put some money into this ICO, until they started spamming my mailbox that the ICO ends soon.
It sounded desperate and unprofessional.
I am not sure if I made a mistake or not, we'll see soon.

It will be interesting to see if Chronobank dumps right away. The idea that they will reinvent currency by pegging their token to the average hourly wage of a given national currency strikes me as unlikely and overly complicated.

No need to dump if you don't create a blockchain. Just take the ICO BTC and run!

I don't think they'll run, my guess is they just take forever to produce nothing for all the money invested. I do however think all the bounty whores will dump straight away. If they were going to run off with the money they'd have done it already.

You did such a great research that you don't even know the very basics of the Chronobank offer...

Sorry to disappoint you but Chronobank blockchain exists already, it's called Ethereum.

I'm not calling ChronoBank a scam but it will be very difficult to implement their ideas in reality. Or I can say a little bit different - the world is not ready for ChronoBank IMO.

You are absolutely correct. I don't know about the very basics because I first research the concept and people involved before I look at anything else. I read the whitepaper and thought the idea was a joke, overly complicated and a failure from the off. Then I went to research the company and people behind it and that's when I saw the gaping hole in the floor...

As a comparison, please go and check out the Matchpool ICO and compare to your Chronobank.

EDIT: I am not investing in Matchpool or any other ICO. I wish good luck to those who throw away profit in the hope of more profit!

What do you think about matchpool ICO? Will bounty whores dump straight away?

It's a bit strange to see the words from a person participating in the matchpool bounty program.

Yes I am bounty whoring for matchpool, I don't see a problem with those words isn't that what it's called? I don't think all ICO's are inherently scams, some certainly are, chronobank struck me as a flawed project trying to reinvent money in an overly complicated way. I don't intend to dump anything I receive from bounty whoring, it just seems to me a good way to gather some extra tokens from a project I had planned on supporting anyway. At some point I will sell my matchpool tokens but only after they've established their product on the market and even then I probably won't sell everything. In my mind investing in ICOs is like developing a stock portfolio. Matchpool has a good concept, dating and meetups are both fun and useful and Dapps are the future, so I whore myself out a little for some extra value in my ICO portfolio.

Thank you for honesty. I like your approach to the ICO participating. Only a few people understand what they are doing when participating in the bounty programs. The vast majority of the bounty programs participants don't care about the projects they 'support' and don't know anything about them. They only care about the rewards.
I think one should participate in a bounty program if he/she truly believes in the project potential and is ready to really support it.

But purchasing ICO tokens is not like investing usually (some exclusions exist however). I write about the tokens that serve as a payment mean inside a project (I will call them 'Simple tokens'). These tokens don't let you receive the project's profit share.
That's why it's not like investing and should not be treated like investing.

Investing is putting money into a business that can generate profit AND getting the right to receive this business profit share.

You can get a profit from the Simple tokens once only - when you sell them. That's all. You can also trade them, buy low, sell high, but it's trading, not investing.
This ICO approach is extra convenient for the ICO creators. They receive super cheap money with no responsibilities at all. They don't share their profits with ICO participants. They just sell a product and people should expect its price will increase.
So the profit is generated not by the business but by another people who will purchase the same tokens at a later time. Similar to the pyramid scheme, not exactly but close much.
Along with this, the ICO creators are usually so greedy that they leave a huge portion of the Simple tokens for themselves! Who pays for them? Correct, ICO participants. Do you think the team members will use their tokens to pay for the project services? I doubt that. They will sell their tokens on the market and they won't care about the tokens price after that point.
The Simple tokens price will increase with time if a project is successful (and no more tokens are issued or alternative payment options inside the project appear). But no business can grow limitlessly. There will be a saturation, while the project will still be earning profits. Unfortunately, ICO participants are not entitled for that profits.

The above text is about business projects, not about pure coins.

I like to think of "investing" in simple tokens as a form of digital commodity futures trading. No you're not investing in a business but you are speculating that a given digital asset will be traded at a higher price in the future based on the assets scarcity and utility. Yeah its risky but that early stage risk is what your getting paid for if you have any success. We'll see how Chronobank plays out but my guess is they will not invent a wildly successful currency called Time where everyone uses some marxist economic theory to peg "national labor hours" to an average hourly rate and then people figure out what multiple of average they wish to be paid. People goofing around with a dating app that uses a trade-able token to create an economy of matchmakers and matches out of the user-base is in my opinion a fun idea that could take off especially since overhead costs surrounding DAPPs are so much reduced. We'll see.

Both are so crap. Especially matchpool, I strongly ignoring his idea.
But I just waiting for the chrono will have listed on the exchange site soon. How will it worth and Does it run for well like all of the speculation. especially about his token price.  Cool

Well I did warned users into falling for the hype. ( SEE https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1680361.msg17828093#msg17828093 )

Example YoBit will list AnalCoin for trading... seriously???
but still waiting for them to list VirtualCoin.
It's lot better to support non-IPO coin then loose your $$$ on some hype.

okay so ico is over and its all too late to warn users about them being scammed. but why not? lets shout scam! its not like we can get our btc back Cheesy

Chrinobank team isn't running a way though but like the rest of the scam these days, they might not distribute the TIME as they say but keep the people from waiting. thats how ICO scam works these days.

Well I did warned users into falling for the hype. ( SEE https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1680361.msg17828093#msg17828093 )

Example YoBit will list AnalCoin for trading... seriously???
but still waiting for them to list VirtualCoin.
It's lot better to support non-IPO coin then loose your $$$ on some hype.

Non-ICO coins were the same back then most of them were only created for quick cash and those with unique ideas died naturally due to lack of funding.

I dont think that chrono is a scam unless they want to disappoint another company or unless that company is in cahoots with chrono

The director is Chris Anderson. The guy is quite famous in Australia and he has many companies here.

I was pretty close to put some money into this ICO, until they started spamming my mailbox that the ICO ends soon.
It sounded desperate and unprofessional.
I am not sure if I made a mistake or not, we'll see soon.

We are in the same page the Chronobank are always sending me a message in my email same as yours too spamming mailbox, though I don't invest in chronobank. But anyway, in my own understanding chrono is like a coinsbase they have a bit similarity only the difference was their features. But they are both bitcoin bank in the procedure, correct me if I'm wrong so I may not mislead anyone. And I don't agree with bitcoin bank, because as other's said here We are the bank of our own Bitcoin.
