So what price would it have to return to make people feel sad? $900? $800? $700?

This action won't last forever. The question is whether it's just beginning to rev up or run out of steam.

I think it would 500s for me. I'm far from convinced we've said goodbye to sub 1000 forever yet. It really hasn't been that long since it was surpassed for the first time in a long time. Time will tell.

The last all time high in 2013 I did not see any reason why it would not again reach that price. So I spent those years accumulating as many bitcoins as I could.

I would think the same if it dropped again.

20bil is not a large sum on wall street these days.
A company that helps you make pictures that disappear after a while will be worth at least this much today.

Of course there are lots of corporations worth a lot more but it's still a milestone.

It's also greater than the GDP of 103 countries.

So show me all these so-called 'positive' Bitcoin articles on Mainstream media sites like Bloomberg and Business Insider

There's been plenty of positive bitcoin stuff on Business Insider.  They've featured me on their website + David Seaman.  Seaman is a shitlib, but he's also a pro-bitcoin shill and at least talked about #pizzagate while being a lib.  It is unfortunate that lots of people feel the need to pretend to be metrosexual leftists in order to make themselves appear intelligent - Keith Olbermann style with the glasses and all.

I don't think there's any question we'll see 500s again. Just look at the charts, you can see it right in the data analysis. This uptick is just an errant burp, that'll be corrected for in the obviously long term downtrend bitcoin hs been in.

Didn't you sell your house to buy Bitcoins, or was that someone else? If it was, you must be laughing together with that other guy who sold his house for Bitcoins.

What's going to happen when $1242 is past?
A Mt. gox is finally dead announcement and everybody and everything is at peace in the world? Undecided

It will be similar to that scene in Ghostbusters, only instead of a giant marshmallow man, Marc Karpeles will explode.
Did he blow up and die yet?

Blockchain.info showed $1253.78 when i logged in just now.

Is this the real life?

I did. I am enjoying this rise.

I recently found out the contract I am on here in Afghanistan is going away in a month or so. I had originally planned on working out here 2 years and quitting to develop seasteads. I am seriously considering starting a lot earlier.

I was searching for your post announcing you sold your house, and finally found it. Congratulations on a wise life changing decision, and dealing with all the trolls and FUD while Bitcoin's price was flat.

Sold my house this week. My mortgage was the last thing requiring me to have a bank account. Last mont my landlord started taking bitcoins for rent. He is happy.

Now to get all of that equity into bitcoins quickly.

To be fair, llamas and Brazilian academics see the charts upside down because they are in the southern hemisphere.
