Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

OMG I can see the moon... buckle up guys!  Cool

Let's hope so. I'm saving my excitement for around $2000 per coin though.

I think you're going to be in for quite a wait !

Lol @ ETC continuing to prove why contentious hard forks are bad.

So stupid that something that should have been completely abandoned keeps getting pumped.

Man, the 1200EUR barrier on Stamp just doesn't want to fall

There must have been some USD/Eur exchange rate change.

1-2 hours ago it was 1300 USD / 1199 Eur.

now 1305 USD and 1194 Eur. ;-)

go home bitstamp you're drunk

You like that?

Hahahahaha..

It was a bit interesting to watch.  I am sitting at my computer and I see that we were getting a dump down to $1290... and I am thinking o.k... maybe we could go down for a bit... Then all of a sudden, pumped up to $1330.  Seems like the whales on bitstamp cannot agree about whether we are going up or going down, and it seems that down could be more likely, at least for a little while, but the one whale wants us to go up... so maybe we are going up... even  though I would not be surprised by a little intermission at this point.

I think it's not going to take a long time to see 1400 on stamp.

Who can say?

It sure is possible before the weekend - because with these kinds of dynamics, we could just get an upwards break out at any moment...

I'm giving up a bit better chance than down.. maybe approximately 39.76316% for up and 33.805422% for down and 26.4121989% for sideways and .01921907% for something else..

those are approximates, I could be off by a little bit.   Embarrassed

What's this about that Jillian Wu/Bitmain being a shady cheating asick-boosting cock-warmer? Is this the wee lad who is primarily responsible for holding Segwit back? Somebody should walk over to him and politely explain to him he's in the badgers way.

We should cast this one out to sea already. Everyone who has come up against the badger has left minus any wealth and dignity they once had. Mike, Gavin were the ones with the most 'capital' as they made some contributions earlier, but when they wanted to go against logic and push an agenda, Bitcoin folded them like cheap lawn chairs. They had nasty intentions and the economic majority crushed their fat heads.

Did Gavin have nasty intentions, or was he the lamb of Satoshi?

I hope everybody is mentally prepared for some doom. Gravity is like a force of nature.

Gravity is dead. I was wrong. So sue me.

I think he developed Alzheimer's. That's the only thing can explain the very odd capers he's been getting up to in recent years. Or his CIA implant needs replacing and they don't have the budget.

How cool is this? Bitmain machines have a wonderful back door.

'the firmware checks-in with a central service randomly every 1 to 11 minutes. Each check-in transmits the Antminer serial number, MAC address and IP address. Bitmain can use this check-in data to cross check against customer sales and delivery records making it personally identifiable. The remote service can then return "false" which will stop the miner from mining.'

Probably the same for all mining machines but it adds to the Bond villain aura.

I think that we are actually ripe for some

ROCKETS

The price pressure remains... UPPITY

That's the spirit! I expected more positivity to come with these new all-time highs. Look at the bitcoin price. It is beautiful.

Did too many people sell at the bottom?

Amidst the price, asicboost scam, and backdoors, it seems to hardly be noticed that Litecoin segwit lockin is now irreversible.

Just sayin ...

In my dreams: the market should have had several prices in mind - the npv of the 'segwit' activates' future, the npv of the 'segwit fails to activate' future and the price with no segwit bip started at all. It should be adjusting efficiently between the two future prices according to the activation likelihood. Now that the likelihood is 100%, we should see price stability.

Back to reality: You're right of course. Smiley
