We've already been warned. Thermos thinks we're in a bubble. He's probably right. Still, I remember when Gavin warned us we were in a bubble. He was right, too.

2 Used to refer to a good or fortunate situation that is isolated from reality or unlikely to last.
‘we both lived in a bubble, the kind provided by occupying a privileged pied-à-terre in Greenwich Village’

Origin
Middle English: partly imitative, partly an alteration of burble.

To summarize the scenario, the expected behavior of the HF trigger point was activated. The chain rules require a >1M block at this point.

It is normal for test networks to have minimal mining power. This implies that anyone can connect a miner to the Bitcoin Core testnet or the segwit2x testnet and disrupt the chain. This is a known attribute of test networks, which does not occur on mainnet.

In this case, someone accelerated a test plan scheduled far in the future to trigger immediately. A very low cost annoyance attack, in sum.

Poloniex Digital Asset Exchange

ETC is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the ETC team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling.

We are getting close to big horizontal support area [around 2300] now on all major exchanges. It should hold for now and bounce up a bit

It looks like the crocodile's jaws snapped shut.

Everybody still got all of his limbs? Does not seem like there is much blood in the water yet?

There never was too much blood in the water anyways, and it seems most people like me already expected sideways or down until Aug 1. Nothing concerning as of yet, whales are likely sleeping right now as well. Just be happy we are still above 2000, this may not hold true during August Smiley

No worries here. I'm just fine with any direction.

Anyone got an idea, why namecoin is holding relatively well today? - I'm just a bit surprised, because it's the most similar coin to bitcoin. If bitcoin would be falling because of hardforking concerns, namecoin should even fall more, no?
