A lot of people who predict those kind of prices here are doing it for personal reasons, trying to convince/scare weak hands to sell. People predicting prices that low probably aren’t happy with their bitcoin stash & want it to go that low so they can increase their stash.

I wouldn’t trust anybody predicting uber low prices.

There is some serious intellectual firepower in this thread. I wouldn’t be surprised if there weren’t a couple of Nobel laureates lurking.

You can say the same of people predicting a rebound based on nothing.

Overall I don't see how you can trust anyone predicting a price. Obviously anyone shorting will hope and believe price will go down and anyone hodling just wants the price to rise again.

Though it's another story when some people are using their influence and legitimacy to bend the market in a way or another...

You are very good at these complex insults. Nobel anything lol how amusing and cutting. And the double negative is so original.
But of course your shining wit has a grain of truth, and I for one can't keep up.
Ima leave you all to it for a bit.

Bitcoin is dead!

All of you thinking that there is any chance of crypto going back are just delusionnal!
See this:
https://transportgeography.org/?page_id=9035

This graph explains perfectly how things are working so stop believing and get out while you can!
Anyway even if somehow trillions of dollars were put back in BTC (by who and why? No idea!) you know that would mean 20$ fees again so it would make unsustainable too fast so price would collapse again!

All you can hope for now are dead bounce cats that's all!

(Sorry not too good on the FUD side I believe... Doing my best, even said bitcoin is dead! That's good FUD right? Cry)

ETH now manfully engaged in the fight to become a double digit shitcoin.

Will it pull it off?

With aplomb.

I don't understand all this hate for ETH... It supports this gigantic, flourishing ecosystem of projects -- yes, many of them are shit but some of them are pretty interesting and legitimate. I think things like Maker, Augur and 0x are at the very least entertaining experiments that push the bounds of what can be done with the blockchain. Decentraland is also interesting as well.
Augur has been a failure, and it keeps on diving. RSK will make integration of external oracles so easy that we can expect healhy competition in that area. If the thing really takes off, it could start an unprecedented adoption wave for prediction markets, anonymous betting etc.

I also don't know how they can shift the whole thing to PoS... PoW is probably also the biggest downfall of BTC. The amount of energy that goes into mining is simply retarded.

Seeing as we are all apologizing I did not mean to offend only to be flippant.  Which is almost as bad.  Apologies.

But truly it reads I would be surprised if smart people were not present - ie implies that smart people are present. So it’s not double it’s triple negative.

I see lots of noobs lately saying theyre gonna short the market here because its easy money. Hopefully they get their faces ripped off.
 Grin

many new guys talk the talk but doesn't walk the walk ..... just many jealous F***s wanna look like they are making money as well

Or they walk the walk but slowly and carefully  Wink

I mean you need to be pretty retarded to go all in on leverage short whatever the context. Same here.
Got a small short opened, so far so good but if market goes back on the bullish side I won't have lost much. And if it continues to go down... Well that means more BTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTC

and still got that LONG open as well ?

and its a diffrent context when NEW N00BS continuously showing up about how they are shorting the BTC market while they aren't shorting shit and just talk to give real  BTC'ers a bad feeling or try to do so Roll Eyes

No closed the LONG when volumes went up and price slided down, lost a bit on it but the stop-loss exist for a reason xD

https://tof.cx/image/CuPzD

I don't know what you're talking about... I'm a noob trader but that doesn't mean I'm lying... What's the point of saying I short if I don't?
Of course I short small! You gotta be crazy to bet a anything close to 15% of your trade balance on such market.

And I don't see how me shorting shit makes me not a real BTC'er...

PS. If someone manages to find a hosting site that actually shows the picture on the forum I'd take it, I don't like putting the links...

If we see under $3k, its likely to headed for $1300 says Tone Vays. Also bearish as fuck.

I was just listening to him and no disrespect but anyone can get ahead of themselves.    He called it himself, RSI as massively oversold.    A bear market can have sharp spikes upwards, I wish it was so easy that it just moved in one direction because thats free money right with no worry.   This recent action seems to highlight the market is unlikely to move down without resistance, even to be negative it has to wear out buyers first.

So price is now about 50% retraced from 4100 and 3879 would be 61%   I think any bears will come back in about 4000 which is the 8 day average and a round number which always seems to be a thing

Im not guessing anything like a trend down, nothing neat like that.  Its more like a straight range we trade in

Now you mentioned RSI, here is my pro level RSI TA:

 Grin

Edit: I see RSI hit 30 in September 2014 one more time on that 5year chart so, maybe we lose another %50, which means $2k.

Thanks to Somac. I have been reading the WO thread of 2014 Nov(page 9000 ish) till January 2015(page 10306) and it looks like the sentiment is almost exactly the same. It's really funny to look back and see most people being really bearish and crying or cheering over an increase of just 10 dollars. With some bears calling for $100 back then, I feel it's the same as the $1k calls right now.

Bitcoin usage only will justify a price of $25-50. Current remittances and the rare purchases in bitcoin are just not high enough yet.

We will likely approach $100 before rebounding. Speculators will come again but not for another year.

Bitstamp preparing to take bitcoin to $100 with this move.

Lately I've been feeling quite bearish and I know some of you have as well, but looking back at 2014-2015 has strengthened my resolve. So I highly recommend doing it if you got the time and feel the need to be cheered up again.
I am already looking forward to reading back the bearish times of 2018-2019 when we are in the next bear market Grin
