There are probably several of us looking forward to getting to page parity again, and furthermore looking forward to a kind of staying above page parity.... so stop typing so many posts, you fucks!!!!! (yours truly excluded).

Some of us, also, may recall that we did get above page parity in December 2017, and I believe that it was NOT even a whole day.. it may have been only a few hours.. and the page count at the time was in the lower $19k's as I recall.  It may even be reflected in thread history... even though the WO page numbering is likely screwed up... thanks a lot bbbbbbaaaaaaaawwwwwbbbb...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

wasnt that when people were deleting posts like mad to keep the numbers in sync? pretty crazy day as i recall.

No.  You are mixing up two different situations.

The mass deletion of posts was happening within the crossing of 10k WO pages...

I believe that there might have been a mini-effort to delete posts in December 2017 - but it did not really gain traction like the BIGGER funzie deletion period of crossing 10k WO pages.  I attempted to elaborate further in my response to sirazimuth, here.

bold of you to assume i regularly read your posts  Grin

thanks for the correction btw. i remember it now. keeping it at the 10k page count was nuts.

@OROBTC:

The post of a true gentleman. WO is like Bitcoin. No central authority. You are part of WO, or you aren't. You stick, or you don't. It's a beautiful thing, that I have not yet found anywhere else online, or even offline. In these here partsTM (thanks JJG) there are no set rules, no nasty admins, no guidelines to strictly adhere to. There are posts about Bitcoin, trains and rockets, violins and Carolinas, haikus & limericks, rusty pipes and dildos of various sizes, naked asses with messages written on them, all mixed with Nietzsche, The Daily Stormer, ancient Greeks and aliens. And, yet, there is a self-sustaining order and structure that holds it together and makes it the wonderful place that it is. So, thanks, OROBTC, for adding your own ingredient to that special WO sauce.

@JJG:

About the 1 sat = 1 cup of coffee prediction. The logic is this: prices for everyday goods & services cannot be truly BTC-nominated, as long as fiat exists and is used in most manufacturing/production supply chains. Even if a store wants to price their goods in BTC, they still have to buy them with fiat from the wholesaler. The entire chain has to convert to BTC for truly BTC-nominated prices to be able to exist. I strongly believe we are very, very far away from this stage. This will be achieved when BTC attains its true steady-state value. I can't put a date of when this will happen, but until then, I do not believe we can escape from fiat as a necessary evil when we want to make use of out wealth. We may not have to handle fiat ourselves if we don't want to (there are ways to avoid fiat altogether), but fiat will have to take part somewhere in the process. Sadly. Volatility and wild fluctuation in the prices of goods (when expressed in BTC) will plague us for some time to come. What the steady-state value of Bitcoin will be is anyone's guess. I gave the conservative estimate of 1 sat = 1 cup of coffee, based on the limited supply of 21,000,000 BTC (much less if you subtract lost coins and, perhaps, Satoshi's own stash). I can live with that. Or with much less than that. But, IMHO, the current BTC/USD value will not ever register in the price charts of the future. OK, maybe in log-scale...

As for WO page parity, it will happen once, and it will happen soon.

So, ATH soon is a given IMHO, then what ? Stay up there, go significantly higher ? Then what ? Do you think a pullback to 4 digits USD is possible ? Asking for a friend.

I'm not asking for maths or technical analysis but rather opinion or gut feeling.

Just like we think we can get to ATH very soon.

My feeling is if we ever pass 20k again we dance up and down on that line for a while. 19500-20500.

Finally move to 25-30k Jan-Feb. 2021

then correct to 14k-18k Mar-APR 2021

Rally like mad maybe 50k  Sept- Dec 2021

That would be the saddest, most pathetic bitcoin rally in the history of bitcoin.  Proof that bitcoin is dying, IMO.  Unless you forgot a zero, somewhere?

Sorry, f-n hate this expression, together with "you know nuttin' " or "don't you know nothin' " especially when used in every other post.

The shitty thing is, I just realized that now my profile looks as if I'm a pré-Merit member who's never succeeded in getting more than 8 Merits during his entire membership on these boards.

Feels a bit like downgrading as a "big" 12-year-old kid in elementary school back down to suddenly being a junior in high school. Cool

^^^ THIS!!!

This is really getting out of hand. Cool

The sig campaign I'm currently in won't make me rich, even at Legendary rank, so I don't really care about Merits for the money. I guess they're rather some kind of a confirmation that shows you're "not one of the spammers". Which is nice.

Congrats on Hero !

What's the champagne, I can't read it's too small ? I opened one for Trump's farewell, personally. A bit in advance I know.

I try to get into nice paying campaigns (and dreaming of the chipmixer one) and doing that leads you to look at the profile of other members, clearly there are spammers/shitposters with thousands of merits. I'm not saying all my posts on the forum are merit worthy but to get in the thousands, sometimes with accounts barely a couple years old, and not participating here, there is clearly some merit farming going on. I mean some of them can barely string an English sentence together.

it is odd that it seems to be more or less self governed with the lightest of touches of moderation when necessarily from infofront.

its got everything from (somewhat) entertaining trolls, true extreme nutters, people who absolutely hate each other, differences of opinion that range from the truly useless to some pretty esoteric stuff that makes you actually learn something. then there the useless shitposters like me. and the bots

and it works. cool.

Keep HODLing your brain some more time until the zombie apocalypse, then *boom* suddenly huge prices for brains.
Sell, enjoy profits and buy BTC.

Don't sell any livers or kidneys, you'll need them. But one can do well without brain, the internet at large is a great testimony to this.
