There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Going back to 200$ this is obivous. Maybe even lower. Bitcoin is broken, it's a bubble and also bitcoin is useless.

The perma-sell manipulator on gox does his job good.

Somebody is going to get very cheap coins.... so obvious

but 90% who sell now, will lose mid term.

I understand how it normally would react to eachother but as far as i know Gox prices aren't relevant anymore. It's a non functioning exchange. Why would someone trading on Stamp even pay attention to gox anymore.

Their 24h volume right now is higher than stamp. Over the past 30 days, they're still at about 70% of stamps volume.

Sure, like everyone else I hope gox is dying, but you know how those death throes of former giants can kinda still cause quite a bit of damage. If all goes well, we won't be paying attention to gox price anymore in a year from now. But for now, it's hard to ignore completely, considering the amount of coins and USD bound to that black hole.

manipulators pressing us into selling. and then take the cheap coins.

Btw, there are exchanges (kraken, huobi?), who dont even need a fix. there is no problem in the bitcoin protocol.

Source please?

I hope the foundation do a lot of press around this fix, just to begin building back the trust signals that Mr Karpeles has ruined this week.

When the guy disburses his supply of Yuan to the other traders, that increases supply and devalues it (a little).

It only moves Yuan from a Chinese pocket to other Chinese pockets.  The total amount of Yuan in China remains the same.

Most Governments dislike their currency being exported because any foreign bank or government that gathers enough of it can manipulate their exchange rates, import/export balance,  and inflation.   Some governments try hard to limit export of their currency, others may just live with it, others may have other motives to encourage it.

1) Pretty sure the Chinese power structure cares which Chinese pockets the Yuan is in.
2) Due to fractional reserve lending, the money supply is increased when loans are made and decreased when loans are paid off, so exchange rates could be affected even with no yuan leaving the country. They could counter this effect by manipulating interest rates, but perhaps they don't want to due to unintended consequences.

So weird that they seem unconcerned with the real estate bubble and are concerned with Bitcoin instead. Central planners...

I learnt that the hard way. Adam's proposition often works well.

Another bit of wisdom: don't base your trading decisions on what people here say/feel, if only to avoid flock mentality, and and keeping your head clear.

And my personal favourite: If you place some strategic orders during a calm period, making (as much as possible) rational assumptions about the market, don't start moving them once the market moves.

The protocol is broken as far as i know, they will release a statement in the next days.  Sad
I´m really startin to worry about Bitcoin. It was overall awesome in the last years, but it seems those days are gone and history.
From here on this is a downards spiral :-(
It was fun anyways as long as it lasted.

GOOD RIDDANCE!

See, that' why it was a real mistake to lift the newbie posting restrictions :/

If I were you, I'd report this clown, adam. Pretty sure you can get his account deleted.
