the bottom is in I think you meant to say: the bottom is clenched Virtex has 20 coins available at the equivalent of less that 260 USD each right now. There is some serious selling pressure going on and it smells awfully fishy to me. I wasn't gonna say anything...but is it possible that's where the dump started? You know, before today I would have said that's impossible, but now that you mention it.. Nah, still just peanuts for volume on this tiny exchange, not enough to move anything... Unless they're insolvent? It's the new Canadian GOX? Dammit! Where'd I put my tinfoil hat?

The timing of this dump is too good. It's the end of the holiday break when families are traveling. CES is this week featuring IBM's Internet of Things and World of Bitcoin.

You know that something is fucked up when you see orders like these going on and on forever. It's that gut feeling. The natural calamity is ready to put grandpa Bitcoin next to Tittiecoin, Shibecoin and the rest of the shitcoins that are laying in the crypto graveyard. HODL and die with dignity

How can there be so many people be shorting at this price? How does this chart calculates the USD equivalent of the BTC swaps: sum(BTC*price) or sum(BTC)*price? (Not every borrowed BTC was sold at the same price.)

sold all my 180 btc at 278 hope i am not regret it It's ... gutsy? If it stays above 275 it might bounce back. If it goes below 275 chances are that it will keep dropping. I might be way off, but right now I believe we are waiting to see if we can confirm a bottom at 275-280. A strange time to make such a decision. Best of luck to you!

Virtex: Put up a sell, wait 5 days for the buyer to deposit fiat, complete transaction I think the party will be over before last week's deposits show up. Last one was 9 days (through holidays)

Sitting at $275...... and looking like it's pretty ready to fall....... I've put in limit orders to buy some around $250. Hoping to get some fills. If 250 breaks, also have limit orders down to $200.

If 250 breaks, also have limit orders down to $200. that's reasonable. however, personally, i think if this level breaks, we will go on to test the $200ish level. looking to buy back in that area. maybe flash crash to $120-150 or something, but anything below $210 is great long term IMO.

I can't know for sure, but I'd guess that virtex has deals with miners? Or maybe just old school peeps with heavy bags? I do know that they cater to a higher net worth crowd and they have said that they can offer liquidity for large deals for large customers... but I figured that was mostly just posturing and PR.. But now you got me thinking.
