Hey macsga, i am travelling through Greece. Are you far from Athens?
Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

Last time I checked (several months ago) they were physically in Slovenia but registered in UK in some guise.  Has that changed?

Bitstamp, is a Bitcoin exchange based in the United Kingdom. As of September 2014 it was the world's second largest by volume.[2] The company is headed by CEO Nejc Kodrič, who co-founded the company in 2011 with Damijan Merlak.[1] The company initially operated in Slovenia, but moved its operations to the UK in April 2013.[1] Kodrič is a publicly available, widely known member of the Bitcoin community.

EDIT to correct myself:
From the same wiki page -

Notes

The company is registered in Reading in the UK, but this is in fact just the offices of UK PLC, a company specialising in company formation and which, amongst its services, allows companies to use its own address as their registered office, effectively acting as a forwarding address. There is no clear information available as to where this company is based or whether they actually have any presence at all in the UK or are still run out of Slovenia

So you're probably right.

I like how bulltards are desperately trying to discredit the exchange which will refund all bitcoins that went lost.

Karpeles is still alive because no one whacked him (yet). I remember reading some "final solution" threats 10 months ago.
He might be in possession of a huge amount of CNY IOUs, waiting to buy at the bottom on Chinese exchanges.
Then he might get his balls squeezed by certain unhappy customers, and might return some coins.

I'm not trying to discredit them, I also feel they will probably refund anything that was lost. I have money in there and am not worried in the slightest.

If I'd put my life savings into that exchange & had nothing left to live for I'd probably want to kill him.
He should be locked away & have the key melted.

The price rebound from the lows is quite weak. I'll await whether there is a new round of price weakness before I test the water again.

I would say the dumping can start any minute now.
Do you agree Tzupi? (because yesterday I thought this as well and was proven wrong by you Smiley )

You are going to be wrong, again.

Yes, you were right.
New insight, we've had the bottom.  Luckily I could exit positions without loss.
Took some long instead.
