If Bitstamp is back with improved security and no one got Goxed, why are we going nowhere but down?

Because that is still the overall trend the past year? Also it's not true what you say, we went up from 255 to 300 the last week, and then we went back down to 275-ish right now. So it's going both up and down, like it always does. Just more down than up during the past year.

good news=price down as always
I'm trying to post bad news to pump the price, but it doesn't seem to be working really well...

Another question, would you really send money to Bitstamp in the next days/weeks? Seems like a gamble to me.

It's Saturday. People need to sell their coins on Saturdays in China. It's a local custom.

How I wish we could take this moment and freeze it
To come back to again and again and again--
To hold it to the light
Now, turn it in our hands and study all the angles
To find out how and why it's gotta go the way that it goes
We have the technology not available before
We have the technology

Not long ago a guy posted maths about bitcoin only needing to be around 27 dollars to use it to switch from one fiat currency to another with a sustained amount of transactions. If you remove speculation out of the equation. That's scary Willy !!!!

I haven't seen the maths, but if it presupposes that every existing bitcoin should be in play then it's not really relevant.

I was hoping (meaning: it was possible and I would love that to happen) for a bounce back to 300 but I'm afraid it's much more possible now that we hit ~255 again, there's been almost no buying pressure since Bitstamp reopened and went full retard with 0 fees.
Whether the next ~255 marks a double bottom and starts a reversal or begins a total price crash is a total mystery to me but I think I'll stay out until then.

I wish we could take this moment and freeze it
and admire the great gift this user's presence has given
to our community.
Most of us ignored him, took him for a troll but...
His intelligence, his manners, his insightful thoughts
to lead us to where no fiat has gone before...
...since the 2008 fiasco.

THANK YOU LAMBTROLL!!!!
YOU'RE THE MAN (so to speak)...

Nah, bitcoin went back up to 300 because there was a speculation that people would exchange a ton of fiat for them and GTF out of Bitstamp at reopening. It didn't happen.

We will see what will happen when people get the opportunity to deposit fiat.
