I've always been amazed by your ability to always make money by always selling bitcoins and never buying any (to close your shorts).
Ha, well he's more of a troll and is completely against Bitcoin or unregulated assets in general. The high rate of failures and scams (which are bad, but natural given the unregulated nature of BTC) foster his cognitive dissonance what this is concerned even further ^^ What I said applies to the bear trolls in general. They always claim the price is going down and disappear during upswings. Either they are pure trolls only interested in annoying people or they are secretly buying when they are trolling he most. Yeah I believe they can be split up into two kinds of people: Those who only denounce Bitcoin and get something out of simply doing that, and those who try to influence the price, go short, and also reassure themselves that they did the right thing shorting. In fact, they want to get their so-called "emotions" satisfied by either thinking that they are doing it right or by asking people to do it the wrong way.

I'm not buying. At $250 maybe.
250 and below is a great place to buy. i am out of the market for at least a few weeks though. this alone could cause more dumps .. maybe i can find some dust laying around to trade with .

Might be a good support level, but don't forget that if it breaks back above $302, chances are it might test the resistance which seems somewhat strong at $326.

What about the majority of people here who try to influence the price, go long, and also reassure themselves they did the right thing longing?

That's basically effectively what it is. But let's not forget that we do an incredible amount of things just due to our emotions! We trade BTC because we want to gain wealth... Emotions.

BTCunches of BTCitcoins are always stolen. Like clockwork. And who needs a clock to trade Bitcoin anyhow? It's always time to sell. I've always been amazed by your ability to always make money by always selling bitcoins and never buying any (to close your shorts). I used to be amazed by Bitcoiners' ability to make the most idiotic false assumptions, but no more. I simply repeat, for th Nth time, that I haven't done any serious trading for over a year. You already forgot what you just read, didn't you? I don't think all readers are familiar with all your alts, and therefore, do not automatically conflate their ramblings. Maybe you could post a comprehensive list? Thanks in advance.

Hey, not everybody thinks like that, some may also trade it for fun, and some use it to buy things cheap which are available at most of the places because of which people sometimes agree on using BTC instead of going with fiat to purchase something. Trading "emotionally" can't get you anything except "losses". Cut your emotions to cut your losses.

I wouldn't mind it, but sub 200 is not going to happen.

my internal indicators are flashing too. "poor trader" warning is issued. Nice healthy pullback. What is interesting is that shorters are closing contracts not longs. So the big sells driving this are actual coins being sold rather than closed leveraged longs. Seems like a short term dip. Tarmi have you finally made some money on this 20 dollar move? Does it make up for your recent disasters?

... Nice healthy pullback. ... I suspect the pullbacks will only get healthier as more & more Bitcoiners realize their magik tokens are worthless for buying drugs. There's simply not enough demand for terrorists and child pornography to support Bitcoin's current price. Or is there?

Looking forward to your pension?
Whoa. 40% slump. Sounds too volatile and inflationary for mainstream use. Since you bring it up, let's speak about the Real and the Ministry of Finance /Banco Central do Brasil's "mechanisms to stabilize the value." Which brings us to the Real. When introduced in 1994, the BCB said it would defend near parity with the USD (remember?). It is at about $0.3 USD/BRL now. It is about 18% down vs. the dollar since the beginning of the month. Inflation has jumped to 7.7%. And very unfortunately, it does not look like any of that is about to get any better any time soon, regardless of the mechanisms deployed. (You surely sound like a Brazilian, and an anti-Dilma one specifically. At very least, you must be from some Latin American country?) A 70% loss of value in 20 years, and a predicted 8% inflation rate per year are nothing to boast about, sure. But they are still better than a 8% loss in 24 hours, or 78% loss in 14 months, both totally unpredicted and unpredictable. Several bitcoin companies have learned the hard way that bitcoin cannot be used as unit of accounting or as liquid capital storage, not so much because of its (past and possible) loss of value, but because of its unpredictability. (IIRC, SatoshiLabs, the makers of Trezor, were one such example.) For contracts that span 2-3 months, an inflation rate of 1%/year can be ignored. An inflation of 10%/year cannot be ignored; but, if it is roughly predictable, it can be accounted for in the contract; either by adjusting the amounts to be paid, or pegging them to some mutually trusted inflation index. On the other hand, a sudden and unpredicted inflation of 10% over one week can turn a good profit into a significant loss, even if some payments are pegged to some index. By the way, the BRL:USD exchange rate was 2.74 in 2005, 2.71 last December, and below 2.70 at all times between those dates. Not that bad, eh? Finally, and, most importantly, I am not advising anyone to invest in BRL, or dollars, or euros. No one with a bit of brain invests in a currency (except for very short term speculation, and even then it is a very risky gamble).
