interesting that always LTC leads the BTC Pumps
What bitcoin pump? Last 2 days, bitcoin is up 5%, litecoin is up 30%. Who leads who? well, the driving force behind litecoin is bitcoin. Someone pumped a lot of btc into ltc. I say> good ! Some BTC holders believe that moving into LTC will yield greater profits, due to the upcoming LTC halving, which is quite possible. A lot of BTC will be eventually be sold to realize the LTC profits. Also, the LTC pump drains fiat that would be used for BTC pumping. There is a weak correlation between the prices, works short term, but long term this is bearish for BTC. agreed. once we hit 300 + $ short btc like mad. Tarmi says we're going to $300+. The last bear has been turned! Bullish... Hahaaa yeah let's go short at the start of the next Wave up. Brilliant!

That's good news but Greek's can't use Bitcoins to buy much from their local shops. That story says there are only a few places in Greece where you can spend Bitcoins. There aren't many ways to spend them in Greece anyway. According to one publicly maintained registry, BitcoinMaps, there are only half a dozen spots in Athens that accept Bitcoin as payment. Among them: a family restaurant called Angel Tavern, a head-and-neck surgeon, and a yacht rental company. They would come in handy for getting money out of the country and stopping the banks from limiting withdrawals.

Probably not, VPNs and the like. More realistically a re-institution of newbie jail would at least slow these cretins down. How many separate IPs can you easily hide behind? Tor exit nodes seem to be pretty well known to the forum filter, and there are only so many free VPNs. So it seems likely this troll is willing to put quite a bit of effort into the spam, perhaps paying the evil fees for using known dirty IPs? Which would mean paying BTC to spam here...

Could you clarify? Are you saying the forum already employs IP filtering for known banned users/connections?

Try creating an account over TOR. Likely you'll get a notification your IP is either a known exit node or otherwise an IP previously used for bad stuff, and is associated with X units of 'evil'. Then you'll be given the option to pay a very small fee to be allowed to post.

Our mind control frequencies propagate unattenuated throughout the interweb spectrum, by side-chenneling TCP/IP upper sideband overlay. Duh! ~Your Beneficent Reptilian Overlords I sincerely hope you're getting paid for this.

I wonder, do the evil fees get channeled to mods? Might there be an equilibrium between fee size and mod incentive under such a scheme?
