Look at all the fear around here.

Must be time to be greedy.

YES, time to buy. catch the falling knife as I did all the time.

Just came into a little spare fiat this afternoon but it's too late for the cheap ATMs nearby to make my second purchase today (and 3rd since yesterday).

Hopefully this low price will last until 10:00 AM tomorrow if I can wake up that early.

OMG I'm succumbing to buyable-dip FOMO.  Cheesy

Mr maniplutor trying to keep price from a making a new low:

oh COME ON

? ? ? The only manipulation I see was the original dumping to start this dip.

The manipulators were more than happy to sell a lot of coins for over $1100 to start a panic, and then make a killing from the fools who sold for under $1000.

ooh the exchanges in my country are truly the worst, they're always more expensive than those in USD since my currency its not as easy to trade.
the premium you pay for exchanging your fiat to BTC will likely hold, and when your shitty exchanges is replaced with a good one ( which more closely fallow the USD value ) price will be much higher... so...

In whats up to the price I see it holding well, actually, do you think its really falling that much more?

i have a feeling if we do see another leg down its going to be a tiny move down with mega volume.

maybe it should be:

Of course I can be wrong, but I have the feeling that 880 USD and 6100 CNY is the bottom. You may quote me for future reference.

I kind of feel the same way.

It's interesting how often $x80 seems to form the lines of support and resistance.

It's no coincidence that NLC used $480, $380 and $280 as resistance levels in her Wile E. Coyote GIFs.

That might make a great new gif/meme... the $880 or the $888.88 meme...  Wink

This could be a C&H with horizontal movement for months until the next breakout, or...

Finex buy side looking stronger than it has for a few days. I was £10 out from my sell order before the crash *sigh* (and for the most I've ever cashed out in 4 years). Knew i shouldn't have slept that night!

I find it kind of unbelievable that a silly note from the PBOC is the reason for the crash. As if people didn't see that coming. The 2013/14 bubble was pricked by the PBOC and the market took 3 years to recover. I don't think a 3 year consollidation is so flimsy as to just roll over and die on one predictable PBOC memo.

Looks more like a simple bit of Huobi whalery to me (possibly with PBOC co-operation, who knows Wink )

We've seen these mega dumps before in the last few months and the market just consolidates for a while and moves on. This one was bigger because the rise was bigger.

Lets see what happens. 2hr Hobular momentum histogram about to go to the upside which will help to pull the 4 and 6-hour charts round. After that we'll start to see what the longer term trend is.

The PBoC note was one thing, and probably the most sensible thing they've ever said regarding Bitcoin. This is more worrying: http://www.coindesk.com/report-chinese-regulators-exploring-bitcoin-connection-capital-flight/

The PBOC little note news didn't have time to spread before the crash. The wires of fiat to the banks were probably delayed and disrupted by the new year holidays. It was due a correction, and delays in fiat getting to exchanges probably intensified it.

The dumps are not necessarily over yet, and even though I have been through these kinds of dumps several times, it is a bit nerve racking each time because you cannot really tell for sure when the dumping is done.. Even when it seems to be done, sometimes it ends up with more dumps.

For some reason, it appears that in this dump, I ended up using about 40% of my bitcoin allocated fiat reserves in order to buy.. I don't know why I tend to buy back so quickly.. anyhow, I still have about 60% of my reserves - just in case there is further dumping..
