Well that was spooky. It "crashed" by almost 10% for a bit but now seems to have recovered for the most part. Moral of story: Bears fight back at $120

Yes spooky, but hardly felt like a 'crash' more like one person doing their best to push it down. The consistency of the sells all the way down to 111ish and then bam it is over. I wonder if this will be like the sell off in the mid 90s yesterday and screw the seller over. No panic selling, no price drop, just a jaw dropped seller realizing their mistake. But I actually think there will be drop anyway so maybe they'll get lucky haha. |

I don't know whether to be happy about this rise. It is beginning to feel like early April, and we all know how that ended! (assuming that it has really ended, lol).

I don't know whether to be happy about this rise. It is beginning to feel like early April, and we all know how that ended! (assuming that it has really ended, lol).
While it will be a little while before we know exactly how it ended, we are beginning to see hints at least. There was a media storm that increased exposure to unfathomable levels. The bids are way above what they were before the "crash". I've never seen so many people on twitter asking about bitcoin. Google searches are sky high. Bottom line is it will "bubble" again, but people should be a little more experienced and won't be as quick to panic. Each "bubble" will land a little softer, and eventually, we should see some of the volatility diminish. Probably years from now . . . |

No. They were found by miners of that pool, not the pool itself. If the pool misbehaves (the blocks contain only transactions with high fees or the blocks contain no transactions at all etc.) these miners will switch within hours. I wonder though why the first ASIC miners are not solo mining. Damn you can afford to do it with a block found on average within hours. |
