has anybody concluded why alts and btc do not behave in inverse correlation? e.g. btc dives, alts dive more!

I assume lots of new money has come in just to make money as everything goes up ie they buy lots of things because its rising not because of what it is.
so when bitcoin goes down they all go down as they get out of all back to cash rather to alts or if in alts to bitcoin ie they are not trading on the relative merits of two choices eg bitcoin or etherum.

Another ATH later today incoming...

$800+ rise only today?

or are you being ironic?

$300 amplitude was hard enough to get just before the implosion, see such a rise on a weekend looks impossible

Bitstamp needs to see sub 2k before we go up again.

Also, the 2 hour chart looks like the dump hasn't started to slow yet

So everyone here is shitting the pants or what's going on?  Cheesy
Just buy partially if you can! The lower it gets the more you can accumulate.
We've seen this how many times now in the last 8 years? I stopped counting.
At least the veterans here should know how to handle this phase.

The bitcoin market has never taken money from me besides the occasional transaction fee and whatnot, so I can't even imagine what it would feel like buying a $2800 bitcoin and the price immediately going to $2000, but I'm sure that guy is in this thread somewhere.

So do enlighten us to the reasons you come here to spread your permanent negativity.
1) Is it a moral duty to wake up the perma-bulls
2) You revel in the joy of others suffering
3) This is just a bear alt personality, designed to contribute to market manipulation
4) You have a silver mine in your back garden or bought lots at peak in 2011, and are sitting on huge loses.

Please enlighten me to your motivations, I'm curious.
