Nobody cares what ETH does or doesn't do. They just want tokens to speculate on. True fact.
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Ethereum, brought to you by the incompetence of Bitcoin Core!

That is ridiculous, but it is the ongoing story line...

Go figure.

If smart guys like Fatty insist on a fork, we'll get one. I agree with Simon Dixon on this: if I have to explain 2 versions of Bitcon for more than a few months, I'm out.

Currently, there is only one version of bitcoin, except for the many bitcoin clones.

Many smart guys like fatty have been insisting on a fork for at least 2 years, no?  wasn't the first insistence that a hardfork was "imminent" and was going to occur in early 2016.  Came and went, and no hardfork, right?   After the Ethereum bullshit with multiple hardforks, there are quite a few movers and shakers in the bitcoin community who believe that hardforks are not necessary, and they are probably correct.

In 12 hours do we continue to drift lower, ever so slightly, or do break up? My feeling is down to sideways for a bit.

QUICKLY NOW! get some real money before its to late!!!!!!!!!!

QUICKLY
QUICKLY
QUICKLY

Now that's a fine perspective:

Ugh not James Turk again. That guy is always claiming PMs will explode. un-fucking-likely.

If I had bought into bitcoin at the same time that I bought into silver I would own 5 houses on 5 continents with a different woman in each one.

bitcoin is fine 2mb blocks are nobrainer Smiley  we are building up<<<

Huh?

if a 2mb block limit was a no brainer, then why are there no imminent plans for  such?

I recognize that there are a lot of proposals in the community, but none of the BIPs that have been approved include a 2 mb block limit increase, so far, right?

So I am not sure how 2mb block limit increase could be a "no brainer" when it is not even in the cue.

Seg wit is in the cue, and it would be nice to get that. at some point in the coming year or so... but even seg wit does not seem too imminent, at this point.  go figure.

Boom.gif

I look forward to using Rootstock on Bitcoin.

The caveat being that their initial implementation will be slightly centralized due to a token being required and it will rely on several trusted actors to convert back and forth to bitcoins. This will change once Bitcoin gets upgraded with the code necessary to implement it in a decentralized way.

Another time-bomb that Ethereum has:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNGzhWODF2s&t=1146

Outside of that, the ICO discussion is scary as hell. These people promoting ICOs as the next wave of investing have no idea just how badly the shark mega traders will come in and abuse these through promoted pump and dump scam hell. Scammed retail investors will lose entire life savings. So much so that it WILL eventually attract the attention of the FBI and the SEC, which will more than happily step in to shut it all down. It will only take a few bad apples to spoil the bunch.

QUICKLY NOW! get some real money before its to late!!!!!!!!!!

lol, pay your bills sure.  Holding real money is not an easy prospect when its part of government debt.   If you meant gold in a similar proportion to pre nixon levels then fair enough but modern paper is very compromised and based on no value but the force of taxes.

Medium Trend for bitcoin is in play for supply vs demand after post ATH pullback.  I see CNY price going sideways while now out of a downtrend its not especially certain for direction.   Kraken chart I see as below an uptrend but mostly sideways in a similar way

Looks like ETH is the only one not bleeding. Considering this weekend, I don't trust this show very much. I think that things will get interesting after enough people will FOMO buy ETH today. The one that bleeds last, will probably bleed the most. Especially because this is what usually happens with cryptos when there is a "sure thing caused by adoption of big Chinese exchanges". Hodling tight my fiat until ETH will bleed a respectable amount.

Not yet. We will see several more days of sideways. 5% plus or minus a day is nothing.

I think we will eventually hit 1600 as a bottom, but not before end of this week. Volume needs to dry out a little bit more.

It will be long weekend, guys.
