This has been an impressive rebound indeed. The market sentiment proved to be more resiliently bullish than I had expected. I was expecting the correction from $2650 to drop down around the $1500 level. I am back on board the train for now since the market was showing impressive signs of resistance around the $2000 level. The rebound from $1810 to current levels ($2325) will further instill a bullish sentiment with most sane investors/traders, which will springboard us to new all time highs.

I expect new all time highs in a matter of a few weeks (or more likely less). But how high will we go in the near term?

At this point... I see reaching $3,000 as effectively being guaranteed to happen soon.

I see $3,500 being a likely possibility too.

Things starts to get murky for me at $3,500+ though. IMO, we are sure to see another correction in the $3,500 to $4,750 range... and it will be an even bigger correction than we have seen the past few days (over $1,000). At that point investors that got in as little as 2 weeks ago will be seeing a 75%+ increase on their investments, and investors that got in a year ago... an impressive 700%+ in about a year.

I think numbers like $5,000+ are unrealistic in the near term. Too many people will be taking profits before we see $5k. We need more buyers at $2,000+ before enough hodlers can be conceived to take us above $5k. The longer the price can stay above $2k without bubbling, the more likely it is that we reach the upper end of my speculation range, which is $5,000 in the bulliest of bull markets.

I think we might have a weekend dump again like last week.
It seems like when the markets are open, the price rises, but at the weekend crazy stuff happens.

I seem to remember the big falls back in February being on Fridays, and last week it was too.  If it does happen, I hope it is less crazy than last week!

It's a blast from the past. A hark back to a time when buy walls brushed the edge of the universe. The day may come again, but traders are probably more savvy now.

That's a possibility. But I think $2250-$2350 depending what exchange you use will be the bottom. After that I could see us again  moving upwards to $2500+.

It's like slow dice... Or slow sports betting. Get an alt. Hodl for a few weeks or months. Dump when it's 5x the price.

If it were THAT easy... Yes, I know whomever bought almost ANY shitcoins in the last months and hodled took an incredible profit, but... Would you sell at 5x or maybe when it is 2x or less you would consider it has no more uptrend? Maybe even rebuy at a higher price when you see it keeps rising? And maybe then it drops? It's a roller coaster....

Also, and most importantly, it is easy to see things after they have happenned... Who would invest now when so many altcoins are so much overpriced?

And many people bought them with false expectations about its future usage (ie: Ripple).

I thought I would never say this, but: Bitcoin is so much more predictable!

(Disclosure: I hold some LTC, ETC and XMR but all the rest look so scary to me a this point)

i don't get why people are emotionally attached to bitcoin only. it ain't emotionally attached to you.

it's maybe a terrible time to do some alt betting but there's nothing wrong with shameless profiteering when the opportunity was there. of course almost all of them are worthless. others may not know that so there's money to be made.

Yep, playing with a little money with some altcoins have made me have a little bit more BTC than I had before.

Using an extreme example: I think Ripple is the biggest shit and not even a proper cryptocurrency... but I wish/envy I would had experienced that 75x rise... I would now have enough BTC to be a happy hodler forever and strop trading.

I tried to see what people saw in ETH. I just couldn't. I still can't.
