The bull run isn't finished yet imo. Again some consolidation going on at the moment.
The market wants the $3k and it will get it!
Regarding the altcoins I have no clue when the bubble will pop. But it will pop some day. And then the question is in how far this will have an influence on Bitcoin. Either it will be the fuel and push BTC even higher or it will take BTC down as well.

It's obvious that the bullrun is not over. Ever since we broke the May 26 $2750 peak, we are back to the previous bullish channel and consolidating a price above this peak, it's holding nicely on $2800.

The following hours are crucial, if we don't go below those recent peaks we may see $3000 this month.
It HAS to happen this month or it may not happen, if the august UASF comes and there's a lot of uncertainty in the air then it's anyone's guess and my guess is down.

Looks to me that some of the alts are being short squeezed as low as possible. In the case of an alt spike that's where the big percentages will come from. I'm not exactly sure how BTC price moves these numbers up or down but I'm expecting a slow drain on BTC until alts won't sell.

Pump on alts (all alts ...).
Fuel (escape) for Bitcoin at the end of the week ?  Cheesy

http://coinmarketcap.com/

I suspect that there will be a massive alt drop soon and a big resulting pump in BTC, but I think the whales will keep the alts inflated for a bit longer to draw more people in - will be interesting to see what happens over the next weeks

Too risky for me. Troubled water.

Probably whales will finish shitcoin pumps before choosing a direction.

obviously i'd prefer a btc correction, going up forever is retarded.

[...]how many are still hodling a proper stash of coinz?

Does the quantity of bitcoins needed to be qualified as 'proper stash' change depending on it's dollar value?

I hope and think the decentralization of bitcoins continues each time we have an ATH.

Merited by Dabs (4)

I have the equivalent of about 50 BTC. Equivalent, because most of my stash is in assorted alts. Some of them are not liquid enough, so I'll have to trade them back to BTC slowly, but I am confident I can get at least 40 if forced to liquidate them all quickly, as in a few days.

Nope, but I sure hope others do. I simply can't. Grew attached to them.

So you don't have 50 BTC. Very risky strategy IMHO. That is the same as saying that you currently have 50 BTC worth in fiat, and we all know how that story goes (135k$ for future reference..).

TL;DR Seasteading will allow for the decentralizing of nations the same way Bitcoin decentralizes currency.

Cool. Do you know Edan Yago of Epiphyte? While not seasteading specifically, he was working on setting up an independent economic/political 'zone of opportunity' with similar social implications. He spoke at Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose.

Maybe more direct is that The Seasteading Institute was also at that conference with a booth. If they had a talk, I did not notice. I spoke with them for a bit. I got one of the reps from their org set up with his first Bitcoin wallet.

Wow, that's so much money! I think I'll never be able to have that amount of wealth. Even 5 btc would be heaven for most o us.

btc decentralises nation states - what is for example the USG without the US$? and what is the USA without the USG? Angry people with guns.
and boats. any ship or island when that shtf will be a sitting target for pirates.

As are we all at all times. What's your point?
