Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

why should it contribute to volatility? imo its actualy positive as more retail BTC transactions are making bitcoin more viable and stronger in the long run. Only setback now is limited amount of transactions in 10 minute block window, and high fee

This would be good news if transaction fees were not so large at the moment as to make timely payments less than competitive against older payment methods

and this is why crypto is not a "store of value"

Store of Value

of Value

Value in 5 years

2012
gold $1600 USD

2017
gold $1260 USD

2012
bitcoin $11 USD

2017
bitcoin $2464 USD

There's not such thing of "store of value". I mean, either everything is (because anything can hold some value), or nothing is (because there's no guarantee).

The best "store of value" is DIVERSIFYING.

I really don't understand those people that always talk about store of value and are all in in a single asset. It doesn't matter if it is cryptocurrencies, PM's, Real State, stocks.... If you want to "store value" with some guarantees you need to be diversified.

so they want even more civil asset forfeiture even though that type of shit would be frowned upon in many a third world country? man, america really should give up claiming to be number one. they're a bunch of gangsters.

Seeing as Congress is currently busy ripping themselves to shreds - I would be surprised if this bill gets anywhere - the majority of those retards are all caught up in fantasy land right now- playing out their little show to cover up their total and utter failures as politicians.

^^ My fave story of the past 24 hours.

Made me smile.

(The guy is deluded if he thinks instant payments is all that is driving this market - sure its a factor - but personally I can make instant and free payments already (since 2010)  both within the UK as can most of Europe (non international) and then there is SEPA)

(Maybe the gentleman would care to remind us how many Euros are being created each and every month at the present moment by the ECB - and then tell us about risks and abuse to the system - €60,000,000,000 each month down from €80 billion - thats $67 billion dollars every month= so basically creating way over the Bitcoin market cap each and every month and thats just one CB- and all the while the economic irresponsibility continues - but sure thang Jens- its all about instant payments which we have already had across most of Europe for over half a decade.. ok then)

So the maths happened.. parabolic has to complete its cycle before.. moving upward.. it will surely cross 3000 usd level but after completing this parabolic cycle... and it has to come down to anywhere between 1300 to 1500 usd level... which is 61.8% to 78.8% retracement of this parabolic move ... over 8 weeks.

If we imply the first doted line is the correct one, then the price will go up to 3000 dollars by 2020, without a bear claw, am I right?
