Ok this is panic selling right now.
Lots of weak hands who thought to be strong are getting triggered!
Whales enjoy this moment pretty much I bet.
~$1760 is the weekly moving average (MA20) I have an eye on for the next coming days.

Intentional dump from big players. All they need is news, and come the news like aug.1. Shaking those who bought at top.

Dumping with intention. It how hard can you watch the show and do nothing. Enjoy!

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Nope, that's no panic selling yet.

Panic would mean -300$ in 1h.

Lookup the log charts and you witness REAL panic selling.

This is panic selling!
In terms of higher timeframes and the average guys playing on those levels it definitely is!
21-26(at the latest) of july miners will have to signal BIP 91.Otherwise BIP 148 will kick in.
5-10 more days to play with the market and teach the dummies a lesson.
Will be very interesting to watch.

There won't be enough bitcoins at this price for everyone that sold because some people accumulated more bitcoins during this sell off.

You are just seeing a donation phase of n00bs that bought into the hype at a higher price now selling into the hype of a drop in price.

Thank you n00bs.

Haha all the time while there are dumps who are panic selling there are wise ones who are turning it on in their future profit and buying. I'm on the side of those who doesn't react on the situation and just holding. That's the best strategy.

I probably won't sell. However, since I have always been a minnow and only own like 1.8 BTC, me HODL my precious plaything isn't really going to help at all. Bitmain also still owes me about .40 BTC with a Pacmic contract. I wonder what coins I will actually be getting back come August 1st..Already writing that off. Thank god Hashnest doesn't allow US customer deposits anymore; so when I have a lapse of judgement, I'll have time to think twice before sinking anymore of my precious BTC into that pit. (US customers can still deposit but you have to use work arounds.)

I think it is fair to say, looking back, that this may be of the biggest buying opportunities above $1k. Moon would be easily reachable if we didn't have malicious agents trying to centralize the system. Roll Eyes

I am already panic buying lol.
I am calling a maximum potential low of $1500. However, I do not see a reason for which the price is dropping this sharply this weekend. If people were scared of August the 1st, dumping a few weeks ago made more sense (not 2 weeks before); not that there is something to be afraid of.

In retrospect, when I made my entry in late 2014 on the crytocurrency scene, I should have just bought BTC and not screw around with cloud mining and altcoins. (AKA GHASH and XPY. etc etc) Perhaps I'll have an opportunity to do this the right way now that I'm more experienced and wiser. However, we're probably not going to see sub $1000 BTC again. <sigh> I'll have to pay a premium for my folly.

I think it's starting to sink in with some people that FrankenSegwit may not come out with sound code; and with it's planned Hardfork, come November, it's just kicking the can down the road a little for another major forking threat.

I'd say a lot of hodlers have opted to ride this out in fiat or maybe litecoin.
There will be a massive buy back in and spike  when dust settles. JMHO
Coinbase blog still silent. probably best strategy
