This is BIG BIG news, if it is true. I had imagined most Western regulators would be strong-armed by the US... and they may still might... but nonetheless this is very promising indeed. We need a sane counterpoint to the US' War on Everything We Can't Track, and we might just have it right here.

This is truly big news (again). They just keep coming and coming - that might describe the Bid rise in the charts.
The thing is, we only need this "liberal" kind of policy for a year or so - just enough time for BTC to get its foot in the door. Once it catches on... Game over!

Makes you wonder what it's gonna take to get the price moving up. If this, Webmoney, paypal founder's investment, and gyft among other good news didn't do much, what do we need?
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Well the last prise rise which took us past $120 was on the back of the Dwolla/Mtgox news and a massive DDoS.  Crazy times!

stability is under rated Smiley

edit, you want action go play with AsicMiner stock, 2.5 btc each now  Wink

I already bought at 1.8 three days ago Tongue
Regardless, AM is a good investment, both for short-term and long-term, with PE < 2, it is always better to buy late than not buying at all. Grin

Let that spring coil just a little longer. Note how amazing a buying opportunity we have now with this shower of continuous good/great news and minimal price reaction. This time you don't even need to try to catch a falling knife. Easy, low-risk gains for the non-clueless.

A decentralized exchange. MtGox is the great bottleneck for BTC price at the moment.

I think it's just going to take one big buy to push people off the edge... I smell a panic buy coming on...

$70k would take us to $123 and wake up the bulls a bit, but we really need to see $125 fall if we want things to get exciting.

This happened on Friday with a $1Million buy and we did break $125

After that nothing but stagnation and a return to $121-$123 on low volume.

Volume over the last few days :

Friday 79,000 - High = $125.55
Satuday 22,600 - High = $125.31
Sunday 20,800 - High = $124.50
Monday 16,300 - High = $123.69
Tuesday ? Looking low so far but it's very early in the day yet.

I guess today will be important if you're holding Bitcoin at the moment.

Really, it seems at this point we are waiting for an Amazon/Paypal or the like to jump on. The China news and Russian Pay pal will probably affect the volume some.

A sure fire thing, which is inevitable imo, is another Cypress like event happening. When that happens we probably don't look back...

Volume is getting lower and lower at Gox.

We may soon have to troll on the "Wall Observer - Bitstamp wall movement tracker - Hardcore" thread?

After the painfully verification/trust process at Gox, it would be major PITA to go through the same process with another exchange - but anyhow we really need to get rid of MtGox's dangerous centralization.

I just hope that better infrastructure arrives ASAP, I'm still not loving Bitstamp too much, and liquidity is still too low (but it is improving).

I think the Cyprus event was mostly hype. Everyone bought on the news apart from those in Cyprus who could not buy due to their bank accounts being locked.

Price going up on hype is great but it doesn't last.

It looks to me like the price gap between Gox & Bitstamp is closing. Gox is happily soaking up all the "returning asks". Once we are close to parity, the spring will be ready to uncoil...

For bulls only (bears stop reading NOW)

((Stop reading you naughty bear..))

Volume is almost at record lows for 2013.
But two days were also exceptionally low:
March 17th at 14k
April 6th at 18k

Both followed by 40+% gains in the next few days...

Closer than when at its biggest but it's been closing to under 4 a few times in the last day so I don't know whether this is closing still or whether it's just floating within the same range.

I do think a gap as big as this will act as a brake on any big upward movement on gox - and maybe that's not such a bad thing Smiley
