90% vote for independence! Viva La Catalonia! Now they will just refuse to pay taxes, they will buy more bitcoin, and banks will default on their debt! I await the suffering of the euro! Great times ahead! I lived in Spain most of my life (not catalonian). It is a shame and "beautiful" at once. Shame the oppression, and blind people from different perspectives. Beautiful that at least some of them are starting to realize about there is no need for a central government. I'm already (almost) independent from Mariano naniano

So should we think in terms of buying a coffee, or in terms having your own bank your own bit of the BIS in your pocket?

Question is will people really wanna pay in Bcash? If not Bitmain is going to have hard times selling their rigs. In a way it's smart. Bitmain mines a lot of Bcash due to EDA. If people wanna get new miners they will have to Bcash, which pushes the price. On the other side bitmain again can dump their bcash coins for a higher price and again accumulate cheap. However I can't imagine Bcash being relevant as an altcoin for a longer period of time. Xapo opened the gates and people dumped. Price is plunging. The same and much more drastic I expect to happen when Coinbase allows it's customers access to the Bcash tokens. If the PBOC doesn't come up with an announcement that Bcash will be the new ChinaCoin I believe this coins will just fade in the long run.

I will add my 2 cents: it's unlikely the PBoC will adopt Bcash as the new ChinaCoin. If I were the PBoC - a control freak among control freaks - I wouldn't go for an "old" coin with a history. I'd make a brand new coin where I (ideally) hope to gather info on all addresses, possibly by making purchases only possible through tethered Yuan.

Sounds correct, anyone with an old bitcoin address balance will have that coin and thats alot of unknown people outside China. Hardly an ideal situation unless PBOC is embracing the free enterprise spirit of capitalism which despite appearances I dont think China really wants capitalism as that is all about free control of money by the people which gives them power outside of government. Central banking is a communist construct from beginnings of CCCP is one article I read and really it does fit
