my take on BTC dropping in price and hype vs BCH

results:

1) pump and dump....by bitmain Jihan Wu and others drive BCH up to the moon....rake off the $$$ and go into alts or back to BTC with massive pump/dump profits

2) actual control of BTC and BCH becomes the TRUE Bitcoin...miners win/big blockers win and bitcoin core is no more..back before seg witness a complete re-do run by miners

3) split into 2 flavors of BTC  flavor A: BTC which acts as store of value coin.
flavor B: BCH which acts like a currency

with the result of diluting the brand name and the above combined will be worth no more than $3,000 total...rest has fled to fiat/alts/gold/other

4) consensus: BCH and BTC will get together for a scaling solution and other stuff of a shared power arrangement

I think the most likely outcome is

3) split into 2 flavors

what (3) means to me is.....some other ALT will become the next store of value and btc will just be another alt

the surity of btc being a solid store of value will go away.. reflected in price on both flavors....such store of value will got to other alts

hard to know..but likley a sketchy bet on such...with everyone trying to say we are a store of value.....doubt it wil be believed

thus that resource for crypto has gone poof, for a bit of time at least, till it regroups into another alt (which will be damn hard to choose)

anyway...not sure you can have more than 60% price rise in coin worth in 2 days...someone is cooking the books in their favor on all this

I think it is a play to take over BTC..I also think the play will fail........but if too much damage some other alt will take over BTC's store for value functions and pehaps

have MORE use as a currency as a side retult

looking kinda dire

I did nothing with BCH from my BTC...just holding and watching which way the 'mop flops'

imho, value of both chains will be 1/2 of the 7.5k or so BTC was, before this cluster

due to 'brand name' dilution and muddy of the waters of BTC core as the prefered store of value coin

will be a mess imho

somac.

This is what Ver and Co don't understand. They are going to lose their power, like the amateurs they are. The pros are going to clean up, like usual.

Difficulty adjustment in under 16 hours, good luck to them.

Satoshi definitely did not intend for anyone to run a centralized attack on his vision of a decentralized financial system.

While I think you are likely correct about this, we seem to see different implementations as the one being thusly corrupted.

The part that you don't understand that Ver is a very very wealthy man. At this point it's not about money but rather power. He was being squeezed out of BTC so he's been trying to clamp on to power any way he can, and this is his last all or nothing battle. Worst case he still walks away multi millionaire

Imagine if Satoshi comes out, dump all his Bcash to tell the world BTC is the real coins  Grin
If only.

Or the Winklevoss twins.  They own 1% of bitcoin.  They could crash the btrash.  Anyone got their phone number handy?
