Significant dump this is, it’s not going to get much worse though, surely. I hope 6k stays strong.
Set up my last buying order at 6k. Hope you are right.

I'm thinking bottom (of this dip) will be closer to 5.6k. But, this is my first post so, what do I know? I also don't have those magical "optimism charts".

Not bad for a first post...  We now return you to your regulary scheduled bitcoin.

"Bitcoin is a worldwide cryptocurrency and digital payment system called the first decentralized digital currency, as the system works without a central repository or single administrator."

Perhaps if you could make a cogent case showing how Bitcoin Segwit is in any way more decentralized than Bitcoin Cash, you might have a point. But so far, all I've seen from you or others is mere hand waving.

It is a good idea to check the bitcoin memory pool before sending to see if there is a transaction backlog. If there are more than 50K transactions waiting to be confirmed consider waiting. The memory pool should clear later today when Bitcoin Cash difficulty increases by 400% and miners switch back to mining Bitcoin.

Actually he has very good point. What you call Bitcoin Segwit can do ALL the things so called Bitcoin Cash can do and a lot more. This is why BCH is dead. It was born dead.

And hopefully the fuck*r crashes forever, as I am getting tired of this game Sad
Thanks for the suggestion tho!

Notice how jbreher the troll doesn't acknowledge that Bitcoin Cash is the ULTIMATE in a 98%+ centralized mining operation, nor ever gives any evidence to the contrary. He doesn't even care that it's a problem. He just deflects, hand-waves, and tries to turn the argument back on the other person.  Roll Eyes He's fkn done this for years, it's his MO.

Only putting their money where their mouth is will let the motherforkers see the light.
Happy bagholding to those who didn't dump that bitch yet. And good luck finding a bar accepting that for your coffee.

Hmm.. might want to set some low buy orders just in case  Shocked

https://blockchain.info/address/14KsG6hxkM3cGGC4DvyEdf8uytoE7x9WRQ

I'm going to go out on a limb and say we'll see the largest sell wall in bitcoin history today.

I'm trying to remember some of the past giant sell walls in BTC history. One that stands out in my memory is the one at 300 when the guy cashed out.. I think it was around 30k BTC IIRC.  Of course, that could be dwarfed today in terms of USD value. And I have a feeling it will be soon.  Although this time there's a good chance it's only flashed. Be safe out there folks  Wink

The other ultimate irony is that Roger Ver travels the world promoting BCH. But whenever he eats out (which judging by his Twitter stream is a lot), nowhere does any restaurant accept BCH so he has to pay in Bitcoin. LMAO.  Grin

So...just got an estimate from my accountant for my taxes (going back 2 years to clear up any past transactions I made as well as figuring out how to declare stuff on Bitfinex (shorts, margin lending, BCH, expat stuff, etc.). Initial estimate came to about $50k.

That's a lot higher than the $150 I usually pay for TurboTax.

Anyone have a decent accountant that understands Bitcoin? Strangely enough she owns bitcoin and accepts bitcoin but needed 60 hours for "Legal Research, Analysis, Opinion various BTC Issues" at over $400/hour.

Wow. Last few days have been like a hurricane. It's flying everywhere.
I decided to increase my BTC stash and bought in when it was around $7000.
Sold my BCH for BTC when it was aroudn $600.
Now I am confused. I will admit that I clearly do not understand what to do.
Should I hodl the BTC I bought @7000 or should I exchange it for an alt or BCH.
I need help.

Beautiful, just amazing how people lose their mind when they become greedy . Enjoy the dumpfest you deserve it

I need help.

No one can help you except yourself ,just NEVER buy at the top.. NEVER

I made lots of the best investments while buying exactly at the top.

Buying Bitcoin at 50$ was at that time exactly that, the top. Buying Ethereum at 1$ was at that time exactly that, the top. And so on and on and on...

Not buying at the top is basically the worst advice you can give someone in such a market as the cryptomarket.

Hear! Hear! Always bet on winners. Might just have to wait a bit longer, but even those who bought and held at the Mt Gox top quintupled their value.
