The drop is clearly due to the fact that Bitcoin is backed by drama, and there has been a shortage of drama lately.

https://www.theverge.com/2018/1/31/16954366/bitcoin-cryptocurrency-mining-asic-chips-samsung

Big companies like Samsung are entering the cryptocurrency mining arena.
The future doesn´t look particularly bright for Bitmain if all the established chipmakers
will start to produce ASICs. And don´t even get me started on the future of BCH  Grin

How do you reckon we start some proper drama ? WWTD ?

Things are awfully quiet right now. We're going to need some real spicy headlines like:

Mark Karpeles to reopen MtGox; initial balances set by lottery
Bitcoin Core devs call for reducing the max block size to 100kB. "Fees are too damn low!"
Tether announces that USDT is now paying 7% weekly interest

Not really strictly on topic, but the Swiss are voting to potentially ban banks from using fractional reserve, in order to create true 'sovereign money'.

It's a stab at the existing system and forces banks to get their money like everyone else, instead of creating at will. Interesting if it happens...

A new paradigm?

Hey xhomerx10, where do you get masterluc's predictions from?

The master luck account has been compromised but he has a few aliases.

This is him on ://www.traditradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/3RjQGYZp-No-resistance-till-15000-when-3500-will-break-up/

How do you know the masterluc account has been compromised? Actmyname left negative trust with a comment the account is compromised, but he hasn't posted a reference link that explains the negative.

TMSC produces and supplies Bitmains chip.
Samsungs foundry is making it for a customer, not entering directly:
"TechCrunch: “Samsung’s foundry business is currently engaged in the manufacturing of cryptocurrency mining chips. However we are unable to disclose further details regarding our customers.”

Bitmain has only been accepting BCH payment for miners since October 1 last year. It has been a while not something they just started doing.

Yeah, I was thinking about this the other night.  If Jihan has used his war chest to lock down another foundry humanity is fucked.

If the client is Jihan, it's only SHA256 that is fucked.
