They say:

"The Market Can Remain Irrational Longer Than You Can Remain Solvent"

Bull shit!  I am just hodling and buying whenever possible.

What are you doing today?

HODL mode on the BTC.

HODL mode on 430 LTC in that LitePay kicks in this week, credit card transaction system, supposedly.

HODL mode on crapload of LISK from the ICO. (what the heck unicorns and rainbows are pretty)

and of course my 7 DASH in HODL mode (what the f*ck, I'm in denial anyway)

FML

What I don't understand.

Where are all the whales???

I mean they have millions and millions invested in Bitcoin and have certainly the money do bring this back up.

Why don't they?

You're focusing too much on the red candles and you're missing the fact the whales are in fact absorbing bitcoins with hundreds of millions of $ in buy walls. Once the cab drivers, hair-dressers, ico scammers and your grandma unload all their bags, it's brutal reverse time. I've seen this type of panic on Bitstamp early 2015. The game is the same, it's just that you have more cannon fodder this time

If you are all so 'convinced' it will go even lower, why not dump now and buy back later?

Where are all the whales???

It's an imaginary token that's impossible to be a store of value and will always be a pump and dump.  The real question isn't why is it dumping, it's how the hell did this crap pump higher higher than the market cap of physical silver in the first place?  Fundamentals matter and bitcoin has garbage fundamentals compared to metals.  Bitfinex fraud was probably responsible for 99% of it's rise over $1000.

I think that LTC will maintain more or less on the LitePay launch..and they are getting damn hard to mine as well

Lisk ICO stuff is a unicorn longshot

dash..is beat up so bad (have 7) feel bad about kicking/selling it when down.....

my dubious strategy

Thats market secret. If you want it to go lower, you have to keep buying; not sell.  Grin

We don't like to gamble.

I can understand. But I see it as the same risk (as god knows if it will go up or down) as keeping it now.
I prefer taking some profit now and be able to buy back when it hits the true bottom. Or buy back on its way up again, even for a higher price. The difference in price is the cost of my insurrance.

Well ok, but with buy walls they are continously tanking the price.

Shouldn't they have an interest in moving the price up so all their previously bought BTCs are worth more?

You dont need to sell everything. You can sell a small part to buy back at the bottom.

Its the same way when you put 5-10% of your bitcoins in a altcoin exchange, you go there to increase your bitcoins, not because you have faith in some random white paper.

I agree with your tactic. Personally I keep my altcoin portfolio intact, except for ripple (sold that one as well). Sold all the bitcoins for now. Tomorrow will be an exciting day. I've set my buy-back targets at 4500 USD or 8750 USD. It can hurt, or it can be a win. But either way, $ are in the bank.

I never did any all in/all outs since Mt.Gox. My strategy is dollar cost averaging. I buy some every month. Sometimes I buy from the top, sometimes I buy from the bottom.

Works fine for me.
