whatever the price is doing for this moment and even if we face a longer bearmarket... i think it doesn't matter cause more and more people are believing and turning long term bullish on BTC-crypto (and profiting of buying under 10k)

its no problem @ all if people buying less for a few months , just those with long term vision and hodlers that are in and stay in wil get rewarded in the near future
so many upcoming millionaires in this threat  Shocked

but however its just nice to see in my social live the friends or peoples that i know entering the ship as well the many leaving the ship beeing afraid of that they don't understand

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Do you realize we were talking about a $100K party?
0.5BTC would be $50K by then.... Quoting for posterity! Smiley

Oh, sheeit. LOL. I must have missed the "$100k Party" part.

$50k of booze in one night ? Is that even possible ? Without anyone dying ?

EDIT: Now, if the devils weed is legally available in Nevada, that could be fun doing $25k of booze and $25k of edibles/veggies.
EDIT2: Yep. Legal in Nevada. https://potguide.com/nevada/marijuana-laws/

$50k for booze in Canada in one night is doable.  That's how we pay for our universal health care.
Let's not have the party here... unless we think somebody is going to require medical care in the aftermath.

Fuuuuuccck. It’s going up again.  I’m never going to have solid gold yacht at this rate.

Sure you will buddy. Look you just gotta realign your expectations a little bit.

https://leoandbella.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/inflatable_glitter-pool-ring-gold_2_.jpg

Just ask Carlos Matos. There is no problem so big that it cant be solved by a positive attitude.

Soooooo did you guys see this? I was watching transactions live and the mother of all transactions scrolled by right before my eyes. In all my years of transaction watching I have never seen anything even in the same universe as this. It's was like going whale watching and seeing the occasional orca swim through I'm pretty impressed then cathulu casually strolls by. Thoughts? https://blockchain.info/tx/c875eb38c6bc141abd92a9014f985b72f5500f88e8722d29e1c8d274b738d744

It's 132 million dollars
Waoh! I never seen any transaction this big myself... I guess the confidence is getting back and people are buying into the dip already. Hope this will validate my earlier speculation about the price rallying back to 10k. Just been hopeful though.

Leads back to this address from early 2013 which had 30k btc . https://blockchain.info/address/1BadjLJqb2CB73t3ZJ296xrwhHNhyo5JaU
And further back  (2012) to this address which is a Bitcoin foundation address. https://blockchain.info/address/1BTCorgHwCg6u2YSAWKgS17qUad6kHmtQW
Then again! I wish I had the foresight of buying back at 2012... 10BTC was just $124. I could have bought like 50BTC then.. I would be retired by now. Just a wish. Lol

They paid 10 SAT per byte to send 132 million thats kinda nuts.   Could have added a little tip but ok.    Just an exchange moving its balance or similar I guess.    I'm not sure anyone bar the Winklebros brothers are that personally exposed without running it via a company

I see a wedge on the price.  Its only short term, just 1hr bars but also we are below a longer term trend (or just simply 200 DMA) so it might resolve downwards.   Expect more action (more volume ) outside of a break of this wedge then while it remains there I guess

I have a feeling it'd probably be a really lame meetup TBH. I'm not a very social person and generally hate most everyone IRL.
Yeah, me too. Except some people I really don't mind at all.

I know you know about r/K, so tell me how this sounds to you.

People either think in an r way or a K way, to varying degrees. When a hard r and a hard K meet, they instinctively recognize one another for what they are, and instantly hate eachother. As most of us here are K's, at least to some degree, and most of the general population is r's, it's not at all surprising that we tend to be non-social and have a general dislike of people.

Which is why it was a surprise to me when I started doing in-person trades that most of the people seemed pretty alright. A few of them even gave me cash hours or even a few days before I was able to get BTC to them. We know our own kind, and trust is one of the features of the K psychology.

If the above is more or less right, then a meeting of oldtimers should be workable. Thoughts?

I'm a Red Wine (California Napa Valley Cabernet) aficionado myself, so I know all about pricey bottles of booze.

I'm thinking about maximizing for most fun.

It goes without saying I'd probably buy at least 1 bottle of ~$1,000 USD Scotch, as that can likely be spread around nicely, but getting into "expensive spirits" would probably be wasteful.

I'm not saying buy cheap shit either, but trying to establish a "middle ground".

Seriously - I'll throw 0.5 BTC for libations towards the $100k party. 0.5 BTC == 0.5 BTC after-all, right ? I'm playing with that much for my Lightning nodes, so it seems fair to "blow the other 0.5 on crazy party shit" - to my mind.

I don't think the mayor is coming down off the bridge over a little $500 pop this time.

Don't really blame him, those 1hr mammoths still have me spooked.
