And still there will be people repeating like parrots that this is not a bear market.

Dozens upon dozens of new threads of panicked newbies spamming every day in this forum, and they will say it is not a bear market.

And dont think you can comfort them by talking about the price of two years ago, if these newbies arrived only two months ago. They will panic anyway, as they are losing money.

Most of the ppl in Crypto (speculation) have a very short time horizon.  A days action may seem like a lot.

They find it difficult to see the longer term picture. That is why there is so much conflicting opinion.

Damn that's pure madness going on. The worse part is, we will follow the same pattern as 2014, wich could lead to a price of 2k in the end of 2018 and could hover there till 2020. Same shit going on as 2014 where they pumped it to 1200 and then crashed all the way down to 200.

Starting to look like that....all the friends and relatives are 'piling on' that I am an Idiot..and that I should sell, sell, sell it all!

Luckily, (or unluckily depending on how low BTC and ALTS dump) ...I am essentially 'immune' to peer pressure on such...however...they are sooooo wound up about it

I may cause a couple coronary's among my friends... (hmmmm)

Anyway, back to my original plan ..which also drives them crazy...

Down 2000 , up 500
rinse and repeat.

Yeah, whatever everybody is saying on charts and..... its a fact that for the moment the market given us a pump little higher than the last one and dips down to pump again but allways with little lower ending .....  i don’t have a problem with This , i Just hope its breaks out and don’t give to much chance to the f****** Guy’s that knows better and allways telling me i read in the articles BTC is Going to go to 2K and then i Will buy iT and blabla while they have such a Nice uppertunity to start buying allready , i even would hate iT if Some of the f**** buy @this prices please leave them in the dust , all these i know better Guy’s whitout any longterm picture....

Don't worry, these kind of people don't have the balls to buy if it actually goes down to 2k. For them bitcoin is always either "to expensive right now" or "bitcoin is dead".

At the same time they bitch about how bitcoin is easy money, bitcoiners were just lucky, blablabla, yet they fail on making any "easy money" from bitcoin themselfes, it's hilarious.

How much lower can this go, I don’t want to be seeing below $6,000 but it really wouldn’t surprise me. We’ve been in free fall for months.

Its not only that. There is always this menace that bitcoin will be crushed to the ground by speculators, banks and governments, and will never rise again. Everytime someone talks about "regulation" is always posed as a threat, even if it would mean only regulating exchanges to halt crashes like this.

And when the bears made predictions, they always extend the timeframe of their bear market, to convince people their long positions are threatened. The bears use as a base for their predictions the Mt.Gox crash, which caused the 2013-2015 bear market, giving the impression it was three years, when in fact it was one year and some months (from last months of 2013 to first months of 2015). This is hammered constantly, and people are afraid to buy and lose money in the next day, which pushes the price down as there is no buying volume. Without this volume the price wont recover.

However, this is not 2014. We are in a different situation. There was no LN in 2014, no futures markets, no G20 hearings. You could not buy a car with bitcoin in 2014. So this bear market can revert at any minute, and no bear can predict it.

I can understand how the price could be manipulated by buying a shitload of BTC in the Non/Dec ‘17 run up and then causing panic by dumping it all.

Simple. You make legal bitcoin businesses pay as much taxes for 2017 as possible! Dec pump then Jan, Feb and March dump to make them sell as much bitcoins as possible during Q1 to meet their 2017 tax obligations. Expect we are very much near the bottom for the entire 2018 right now.

Let's all see things in perspective, I mean 2years ago we were at 300, last year this time we were at 1K, this summer about 2K, what other investment could possibly do better?
And indeed this is not 2014, it's a entirely different setting

This guy made me laugh and put things into perspective :-D hilarious

There should be resistance at about $6100. That was the lowest it went on February 6th. A double bottom there would be bullish.

I doubt it will go that low, but I'm buying if it does.
