Interesting that we have been in that middle channel for so long. Even if we followed the lower channel we'd be in decent shape long term.

There have been five mass extinction events on Earth that we know about. During each one, 75% of all species on the planet died. Most of these extinctions were caused directly or indirectly by climate change. What kind of cars caused the first five extinction events? If they had Teslas would they have been prevented?

The Oxygen Extinction was caused by cyanobacteria, the first and so far only life-form that has successfully kicked off a global apocalypse. We could be the second with that attitude.

I think humans can strive to be better than cyanobacteria. Our global apocalypse will be better.

Then we can just terraform the living daylights out of it and call it a day.

Would like to know what he calls mid-term as generally in traditional investments that means something like a couple and even up to 10 years. If he is talking in Bitcoin terms it could perfectly mean a couple months.

Even if masterluc's predictions have proven surprisingly accurate... his wording often reminds to Nostradamus.

That psychological barrier need time and - but  should be done before 17 May.

Dude. Bitcoin could fart +$300 USD up to $10k within seconds on a random bull-run.

$300 is not far away at all.

The thing is with science you must please your masters. Who are the ones funding you.

Science is supposed to be based on objective, testable, repeatable facts. How often this isn't the case. INstead computer models with no basis in reality are endlessly tweaked to give the needed result.

I know what we need comrades. A global carbon tax. Everyone will pay. And while we are at it. A global government. Global army.

I once did a division level battle scenario simulating all of the network traffic and wireless traffic with moving troops and terrain. We had drones flying in the air acting as range extenders for people on the ground to get over hills and other things blocking line of sight.

It took us a very very long time to get the simulation running...the thing kept crashing due to the amount of information we were throwing through it. We had to extrapolate as much as we could to get it to run. I stayed up all night one time to get it to run all the way through for the first time. The results showed that the drones were bottle necked with traffic and hardly anything was getting through. Knowing this wouldn't sit well with the green suits we extrapolated some of the models differently so that we could get better results. Who knows what the reality was. I was just glad we were on the research end of things. When I started working in real world environments it wasn't as fun. One time I was working on a system being used in Iraq but it was down for a few days while we worked on some broken code. During that time 10 marines died and one of my frustrated co-workers blamed me for their deaths due to our system being down (the reality was that even with a perfectly working system they would have still died). Research is much better. Throwing wild numbers out that don't matter for a long time is easy.

It's interesting that religion actually caused scientists of old to be honest about their findings. They believed the scientific method was gods way of showing us how the world works, so they couldn't lie about it cause god would know.

Yeah, but short-term and mid-term predictions = coin toss.

In that area... even very smart guys are all over the map.

So? NASA is funded by US govt too. Yet they manage to land a few rovers of Mars.

Can't do that with crappy science.
