next wave of bullish bullshit

https://bonnerandpartners.com/what-a-nasdaq-vp-told-me-about-the-future-of-cryptocurrencies/

Quote
Security tokens are regulated financial securities – like traditional stocks and bonds – that provide token-holders with ownership interests in the underlying company or asset.

Security tokens will be the third wave of the blockchain boom… and they will make the first two waves look tiny by comparison.

One executive I spoke with expects security tokens to bring 10% of global GDP – roughly $8 trillion – into the blockchain ecosystem by 2024. That represents growth of 28X.

And Bruce Fenton – founding member of The Bitcoin Foundation ...

How does using the blockchain to securely store data about security ownership have any affect on the value of a bitcoin? The value of these securities is not being injected into market cap of bitcoin or backed by bitcoin tokens. They are completely separate things that hold value on their own and hashing them on the blockchain is irrelevant. Securities are backed by brick and mortar companies and company assets and employees and speculation etc and are not backed by a monetary system or a data system. Saying they would make bitcoin worth $10T is like saying that the server's hard drive at NASDAQ is worth $10T. The only thing that would raise value is the extra transaction volume and fees in all the micro transactions needed to maintain a ledger.

No wonder I feel all pinned and wriggled on the wall. Embarrassed

Here. See: https://www.coindesk.com/self-claimed-satoshi-nakamoto-says-bitcoin-book-in-the-works/

Everybody gets tipsy and thinks they're somebody that they ain't.

Well when I get tipsy I think I’m not an asshat but
everyone else thinks I am, so there’s that....

With regard to yesterday's entertainment. Anybody care to speculate who's been paying the troll patrol to gum up our works before moonshots? Now that all the socks are off, maybe we can start being honest with each other. Roll Eyes

is there some commandment from the core team that i dont know about? one that says btc MUST be stored in segwit addys, MOVE THEM NOW!!

you do know core supports legacy addys. and it always will support legacy addys. so i will continue long term hodl coins in legacy format. my choice.

this "YOU SHOULD STORE ALL YOUR COINS IN SEGWIT OR YOU ARE A SHILL OF SOME TYPE" stuff is ridiculous. i use core. i chose to use legacy for storage, segwit for spending.

ok now go ahead and accuse me of being something or another.

I think there is some misunderstanding.

nobody said you must store your coins in segwit.

most people said "store your coins in whatever place you want".

only one guy said "you must store your coins on sathoshi (WTF) or you stupid fool will lose everything".

SECURITY is an IMPORTANT topic. we all want that our coins are safe. we should avoid living in an echo chamber and try to think out of the box.

he really succeeded to make some people lose trust in bitcoin security. we will see much more segwit fud.

If $8trillion enters crypto markets and we see another x20 (minimum) rise on btc prices... I don't think lambo prices will stay same.

They'll ask more.

btw... (more serious answer):
last week BTC volume was 3 Billion $ while now we are back to 5.5B $
eth volume almost doubled too from 1 to ~ 1.8 Billion.

volume = liquidity = ppl trust
That's all the difference imho

Its a global movement under the banner of this Q

So you know about this Q fellow? How does he prove his identity? Does he use digital signatures? If I just go and post as Q on 4chan how to people know if I am or am not the real Q?

Been reading the last few days posts of anunymint with interest. The idea that segwit coins ie held on an address beginning with a 3 can be taken was already known to me from reading previous posting by same user on other threads. I view it as a non-zero risk that this could happen and keep all my bitcoin on legacy addresses in case. If ever I use LN and segwit would only be maybe for some small spending. Like holding bitcoin on exchange, you would or should not trust with all your stash.,

The idea does chime with me that the satoshi protocol is immutable. Thanks to the 'troll' for the interesting posts.

I haven't been following this thread religiously like some people. Anunymint, can you encapsulate the entire argument in a couple of short paragraphs for us? I haven't even considered reading your posts because they are always too long for someone who hasn't earned my respect. Frankly some are so long that I probably wouldn't read them even from a highly respected source.

It kind of makes sense doesn't it? Push the price down so you and your buddies can buy up as much as possible then make some bullish signals right before https://blog.coinbase.com/coinbase-custody-is-officially-open-for-business-182c297d65d9 Could be explosive if I'm barking up the right tree here.

Not an option unfortunately. My coins all got placed in segwit addresses when I moved them to a new Trezor.

He's the geezer on Star Trek. Since he's an inter dimensional trickster I wouldn't sweat it. There's nothing you do about him.

Take it how you want it

Certainly helped me with some good trades, could see the Iran deal was gonna fail, this sent stocks up

Could see the whole North Korea thing unfold

Outlines corrupt criminals to follow and stay away from

etc etc etc

Again you do not have to believe (I have trouble at times), but it sure as hell has important inside knowledge

From Q's armchair warriors I found out that the CIA had been running North Korea, once Trump got rid of the heads of the CIA, North Korea was an open road
