The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

When we reach that point, will there be enough 'native' demand for Bitcoin to avoid a true bear market (like, going convincingly below 200 MA on the daily, just like the other bear markets)?

People that believe in TA are stupid. They deserve their fate of being milked and slaughtered.

Correct. There is nothing that can predict the future.

There is, my friend! But the only correct way of predicting the future is to create it using your own hands and brains

I did a google image search, and I found this article.

https://money.cnn.com/2018/09/11/investing/bitcoin-crash-victim/index.html

I am thinking How fucking stupid can you be?  but then, I suppose that there are quite a few folks who bought at the top, and then made a bad situation worse by gambling.  He would not be doing so bad, right now, if he had kept his focus on Bitcoin rather than getting distracted by shitcoins...   Hard to recover, when your principle is only worth about 4% of what you started with?

Now thats a retard that got what he deserves!

Quote
Russell rarely played the stock market and had little investing experience when he put around $120,000 into bitcoin in November 2017. He was stunned when that turned into $500,000 in just one month.

Doesn't know shit about what he's invested in and puts in $120k and it goes to half a million and he doesn't cash out! And worse yet he doubles down on his idiocy by buying into a scamcoin? Jesus he did ZERO research obviously. Stupid fuck should never invest again in anything.

This BTC dip isn't low enuf for you peeps?

Can't see the forest for the trees?

Institutional hypocrisy at its finest. Smiley

I'm a simple man.

I have a simple metric: Everything that was heavily pre-mined, insta-mined or air dropped is an automatic shitcoin.

There are other reasons I would throw a coin into that category, but this one takes care of the large majority... For example, only BTC, LTC and Monero are left from the top 10 after applying this simple rule.

It get's worse after that. Only Dogecoin is 'clean' out of the next 10...

QFT, It's amazing that that is all you really have todo to quick vett in an instant.

Coldcard is a new product and only supports bitcoin: no altcoins. Trezor has been around for four years now, Ledger Nano S for two. Best to stick with well tested products with a good history IMO.
Agreed. But I am an old product, and I only support bitcoin: no altcoins as well.
As I said, it's just a toe in the water now.

LOL, I just put in a buy for binancecoin and still have a lowball xmr one in. Besides that I think they are still all garbage. Actually Binance is garbage but it gives 25% discount on trades so it can lose 25% and still be worth while to hold.

Haha, sweet sound it is. Lol

Wow, so they have the same reputation according to knuckleheads in the alt section. To be honest, one can't even reach that conclusion because respondent's preferences should be weighted. $100 in a shitcoin <> $100,000 in bitcoin.

Well, he wouldn't get it if I wrote it nicely, hence the irony Smiley

His arrogance is getting worse, wasn't so bad half a year ago.

I don't know why he is saying that... IIRC I bought a bunch of ETH last year at around $10, maybe even higher, my average sell price was around $40-$50 after all of them were gone. Got a good profit that I converted to Bitcoin before the rally, so double profit in that.  I could have had MUCH more profit, but it was ok for me considering it was a shitcoin and Bitcoin was being very boring during those months.

Maybe the guy did something wrong?

my latest tactic for idiots who try to tell me what bitcoin is or isn't or simply people I don't really like ... I try to talk them into buying altcoins, especially ether and ripples tokens, give it the good old pump.

them: what do you think is going on with bitcoin, is it going up?

me: ah, i don't know it's a volatile market anything can happen.

them: should I buy some now or I've missed the boat and have you heard about ether/ripple/litecoin/eos?

me(triggered): yeah you should definitely buy lots of ether, it's the best thing out, once in a lifetime opportunity! (unsaid :to lose all your life savings) ...

... so sick of people asking about crypto and then talking about "blockchain" or shitcoins. Shitcoin scams in our time is a bigger net loser than Mt. Gox, whose customers will actually be made whole in fiat.
