IMO, right after the close of CBOE futures = the jump of $500.
I think CBOE is a self fulfilling system. Hah, thats great!

Welp at the current price of $6495 we are down $18 since that previous chart. So yeah. I am sort of using WO to keep myself honest with my price predictions and see how I track. I would welcome contrary views. I miss Tera he taught me a lot.
<——————— should give you an indication as to whether you should trade based on my charting
Chucked you a supportive merit, I miss her (for I am pretty sure Tera was a she) too. I also learned a few things from Tera's posts. She was pretty good in 2013 / 2014 (and was hated) and was right to be bearish this time (and was hated again). But she wasn't totally wrong, just coldly realistic - and IMHO much misunderstood. The odd, sophisticated contrarian is actually a good thing at times. Opposing views, even if they are predicting 'pain to come' are wise to at least factor in, rather than simply shout down. Otherwise this thread is risking just being an echo chamber. I reckon BTC will inevitably exceed the last ATH by a lot in the end - but surely long term hodlers (of all people) have learned that there is never gain without pain. It is just how it is - but it is also how the gain is truly earned. If it was easy, every fucker would be rich. So, Hairy - work on the charts and if you start to get it right, I for one will be grateful. OK, not for the pain, if that is what is due - but for an idea it might be coming? Sure.

I agree Tera had a useful role. Not a shill or a one-way FUDder; not always right (who is?), not always wrong (even SOMA predictions are almost always wrong), but informed and intelligent. I also gave her a bit of bashing now and then, but keeping a hateless, rational, arguing attitude. Tera sounded more like a "she" back then in 2013-2014, quite less in recent times. It almost felt like the account had changed hands. I reckon BTC will inevitably exceed the last ATH by a lot in the end - but surely long term hodlers (of all people) have learned that there is never gain without pain. Keep up the good work, Hairy!

Everyone here would just buy M0ar! Something similar already happened in 2011 when gox got hacked, and Bitcoin crashed to one cent each. The price went back up afterwards and 2011 hodlers are now rich. If it goes below $6 I'll be simultaneously buying and crying.

A very late good morning Bitcoinland.
I see we had another little dip back to where we were 5 days ago... currently $6299USD/$8199CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
Bouncy bouncy. Not deep enough for me to buy. Paid this price last week.
Yawn.

Leveraged shorts almost back to the ATH. Only a moron would be selling right now to help fill them. I feel a squeeze coming.

If we break out to $10k+ very soon, we're probably not going to hold that price point for long. It would most likely lead to lower lows (sub $5k).
...because?...

(I"m scared......hold me....heh...I crack my self up...likely because I'm cracked up)

Who sold at the bottom?
I sold a little when it looked like it wasn't going to break $10k and then I cried all the way to $20k and back down.. I don't feel too bad about it now but I would like to buy it back..

Nice to see Monero back in the top ten. Could have been there for awhile mind you and I haven’t noticed.
Are you invested in monero? I am conflicted about Monero. I love the idea of a truly anonymous currency. But from an investment point of view, I think their tail emissions policy is flawed. I know it is only 0.6 XMR per block, but I feel that is enough to have a real impact on supply, meaning that Bitcoin is a far superior long term investment. So I watch Monero closely but don't hold any. I had a fair stack that I sold for Bitcoin at the start of this year. If I start to feel that Bitcoin is under threat, I might go back to holding some Monero as a hedge. I held a stack of Monero through the Bcash debacle as a defensive hedge.
