Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I´ve just read that google is also thinking about bitcoin as payment method. But its not official.

Google are not thinking about using Bitcoin as a payment method, they're just looking at it.

Tell Google what you want regarding Bitcoin here, 1000's of others already have :

They don't want to incorporate btc because they are workng on their own version of it - they recently applied for a patent which failed. Think about it, google copy every good idea, they have unlimited funds and googlecoin fits into their world domination ethos perfectly.

I have a deja vu feeling from last Friday. If I have somehow ended up in a Groundhog Day time loop, I would expect yet another weekend rally.

I'd definitely buy some Googlecoin if it wasn't pegged to a fiat value, however I think that would be unlikely.

Any Google coin would definitely have an NSA backdoor built in.

More confirmed bad news, TigerDirect only processed $250K of Bitcoins in the first 17 hours.
Which is of course is a staggering 272 Bitcoins,  if Bitpay dump all those 272 bitcoins on the market straight away we are going to be in for a serious correction.
Another nail in the coffin of bitcoin.

interesting, I'm in the opposite position. Thick on bitcoin, thin on fiat... still waiting for the rest of the bids to get eaten. If the price actually does hit 300 I think I only have 1 bid that will survive, lol.

Surely this should be interpreted as "$250K worth of bitcoin bears decided to divest their position and withdraw from the market completely via a merchant rather than having to deal with an exchange, a wire transfer, and a bank account".

+10k in fiat. Got some BTC stored in my last cold storage (Casascius bar) that i won´t touch (no matter what).
But so far, i think bitcoin is going to drop to at least 600 at some point in the next coming  7 days, and when it does... i will be there with my fiat Wink
