Decisive victory to the bulls at the 15M, breaking up and out of the mini-bear pennant

Puts us back where we were two days ago at the 4H at the top of the larger pennant

And shows the bigger battle ahead at the 1D under the pressure of the yellow bear line

In the context of the broader market.  Note the solid weekly volume.  Weekly volume is high but daily is declining off an admittedly high base.

monero is /somewhat/ tolerated here, quoting the r0ach...not so much

Oh cool, glad you told me what is “tolerated” when discussing the issues of centralization. Hahaha.

It’s ok, I’ll be sure to shut up hopefully. Don’t want to piss off the powers that be here on this thread. Please continue your discussion on how centralization and censorship by a core group of people are horrible... my apologies to r0ach...

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Hey whoa, I'm not trying to censor you, many of us here are good with XMR, most, however, have the r0ach on ignore and repeated quoting of him will get you ignored by many.  I, for one, have zero bandwith for his autistic drivel.

I like the idea of Monero but from a fundamentals POV, I object to its emission policy:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/512kwh/useful_for_learning_about_monero_coin_emission/d78tpgi/

The inflation rate is too high for it to be sound money at this time imho.

I don't recall deleting any of your posts - at least not in the last 4-5 days.
whoops i gave him a good kicking thinking you'd purged him. may have to eat my hat.

*shrug* I seem to remember deleting some posts of his like 1 week+ ago, but it's hard to remember. We've had a couple bad waves of newbie troll posts, normally on price drops.
As you suggested, noobs have a greater likelihood of getting banned anyway. At least post a couple of "bottom" pictures or something before trolling.

Monero's tail emission ensures that mining remains profitable despite any amount of traffic moving to 2nd+ layers. That's basically the whole point. You're trading some economic soundness for more protocol security.
This is particularly important for an altcoin like monero, where you don't see the kinds of volumes (and transaction fees paid to miners) as you see with bitcoin, and probably never will.

Oops! Misread how you intended it.. lol.

Yeah I haven’t been on this thread for a while and forget who’s who. I will do the same and just put him on ignore. Thanks for the heads up.

I suggest that is self-defeating behaviour as the inflation rate prevents the currency from appreciating in value the same way that Bitcoin does, which would then allow transaction fees to support the miners.

But I am not currently invested in XMR despite holding some in the past, so this isn't something I feel strongly about.

Supporters of all these altcoins are clouded by bias and are missing the very core of something: redundancy.

In that I can make a perfect clone of *any* coin now, including Bitcoin, give it all the features, attributes, security, and issue rate of a great coin, even with no pre-mine, I can give it the very same "immaculate conception" as Bitcoin, etc., etc.

So with all of that, should this altcoin I create just automatically be deemed as having value? Just because I launch it into existence? No.

What it has is redundancy. To Bitcoin.

If I create a new clone of Linux is it better than Linux? No, it's just redundant.
If I create a new clone of an iPhone is it better than Apple's iPhone? No, it's just redundant.
If I create a new clone of Facebook is it better than Facebook? No, it's just redundant.

And on and on and on... redundant things are worthless things. See the recent fate of Google+ as an example.

Wife redundancy is till quite popular in some circles. It seems like too much trouble to me.
