So everyone (myself included) is in agreement that the next all time high will be around 2020-2021? From the crowd is always ng cmp, I wonder how this next cycle will play out. A double bubble à la 2013 or a delayed bubble in 2022, or later (bleh). With Bakkt, NASDAQ, etc, we may drum up enough interest to start the cycle sooner this time.

right, but the next halving is in 2020, so i'd expect the next big pump in 2021/2022, rather than 2020/2021.

^It's useful for people who just don't give a flying fuck because you will have all kinds weird financial transactions from places like Pakistan linked to your shipping address lol.  I'm surprised it hasn't been shut down yet, because although it might have a few legit use case scenarios like cashing in an amazon card, the sketchy use cases are probably equal or higher.  

But, then again, that's mostly the entire purpose of Bitcoin, to perform regulatory arbitrage around the govt.  The fact the govt doesn't attempt to stop Bitcoin at all (instead they promote it) and things like "how to make a mint" tells you all you need to know that it's a govt creation to bait and switch people into a cashless society slave system.

funny when i was warning people at 20k about the long winter incoming, i was only getting insults even from regular/experienced hodlers.  I remember the bet for the next all time high where i was the only one betting on 2021 or so. How things change.

Stop fucking trying to suggest that everyone has the same mentality.

I think almost everyone was amazed that bitcoin did about a 3x to 5x greater performance than amongst the most bullish of predictions, and caught some people off guard, and certainly there was confusion amongst a lot of people regarding when the upwards would stop.

None.  Everyone is responsible for their own stupidity, including yourself with your stupid ass attempts to brag about something in which you are merely guessing.

No one is completely objective, and almost no one is completely stupid, either.  No matter what, there is going to be some biases that are also skewed by life experiences, imperfect information and sometimes imperfect logic, too, including a lot of inabilities to anticipate all of the behaviors of others (even though some traders are going to try to use TA to predict market directions which is composed of a whole hell-of-a-lot of human behaviors, and some assessments are going to be more accurate than others, while still being based on probability analysis).

Quite a few were saying 2020 area for a while (as a date for lows more then a price), its long had a countdown clock

right, but the next halving is in 2020, so i'd expect the next big pump in 2021/2022, rather than 2020/2021.

As I remember the phase upto the halving was a mini pump, expectations after a nuclear winter post mtgox blowing its top off like Mount St. Helens :p    Then disappointment, buy the rumour sell the news dynamic and then as some noted the effects build with every block not an immediate dramatic alteration.
So again it'd be the same I guess, mostly you are looking a year or so after the actual block reward change happening.    I will try to remember to change my long term stance around then, whatever the feeling or news occurring.

Theres no doubt modern society is not a failure, great advancements have been made across pretty much every industry most notably thanks to technology improving efficiency and reducing labour costs, latency of all kinds that normally inflate the cost of a product.   However wages didnt rise, fell even for some so wheres the cost risen to counteract the gains from efficiency
