 The religious sector with the whole "mark of the beast" prejudice is probably plenty enough alone to sink it without even factoring in anything else.  

Then for places like China, the Chinese hate the social credit score system and will end up favoring something as different from that as possible as an act of rebellion.  Changing from that to bitcoin is virtually the same thing. They will force metals too.  It's not really possible for bitcoin to break out of a niche market unless the govt somehow forces people to use it.

This makes sense, because its really hard to think of a million examples of things people adopted without the government forcing them to.

Im glad Virgin Roach is no longer a Bitcoiner bc he would be making us look bad with this mentally deranged conjecture. If Virgin Roach was still a Bitcoiner he would say things like "governments subsidize cheese and since many religions have a prejudice that the moon is made out of cheese, soon the government will force everyone to adopt Bitcoin." Virgin Roach was not posting this kind of nonsense in 2015, something happened along the way to aggravate his mental illness and I will be covering this in his biographical screenplay.

The last three years have been torture for Virgin Roach, but its just going to get worse for him now that we are headed to 100k.

Pretty much the same way here. Don't have anything to hide. Have had enough letter-agency security checks done on me, that the government has a real good idea of what my colon looks like.

It's sort of a badge of honor. "OH YEAH ?! Well, not only am I TSA pre-checked, I also have Global Entry ! You want me to open my carry-on for a further check ?! No problem. Here. I'll just drop trou and spread-em too, while we're at it."

The Canadian's really didn't like me that trip. Almost created an international incident at the border when some security dude shrugged, put on some gloves, a mask, and was about to reach in there to pan for nuggets, going through secondary customs screening.

Rick shot me a stern look of disapproval, as the security staff were becoming seriously nonplussed.

I have learned to behave like a sheep in all those kinds of situations. If I had more lives to spare maybe in some of them I would troll them to hell... But having only one I prefer to just lower my head, thank them and go on with my life. Only god knows in what kind of trouble I would have already get into to make my life completely miserable otherwise.

Oh well, I remember the time I started to argue a TSA agent when he questioned me about my baggage and electronics.... I tried to explain him that I couldn't know if someone could have inserted anything in belongings (the camera in particular which had been in a repair shop before). When I saw the guy was contemplating reporting me, I  just accepted all responsibility for all my belongings and he let me go my way.

Hmm, I've always done exactly the other way around, always trolling with them and demanding my rights. But I have nothing to hide either, like said, let them dig and inspect. I've been taken to the interrogation room a few times but always let go, with sad faces on the officials.

Once I was taken to the search garage in Sweden, went there with my car by ship. I saw a mile away that they'll going to search me, but didn't expect it to be so thorough as it was. They inserted the "snake camera" to my car output for 4!!! times, like they knew there had to be something. About 10 officers went in and out of my car nonstop, all the plastics were removed and 2 different drug dogs sniffed my car. I could see everything that happened through a glass window in the "jail room". The search went on for about 4 hours and they we're pretty disappointed when nothing was found.

I drove out of the garage, shut down all the electronic assistances in my car (360+kw) and drove off tires burning I was prepared to be followed and getting a small fine, but they left me alone.

I like to troll them when I know I've done nothing wrong.

You can't do anything against it, they can jail you if you don't let them do it. If they break something you get it repaired by government and that gets done in the no1 repair shops, normally you can throw some extra into it and it will be paid for.

Oh and they didn't ask my permission for that in Sweden, guess they had a "hint" or smth. I did use to look like a criminal, head shaved bald and tats all over. Now I have hair at least. And when warm enough I always wore tank tops, just to prove that looks have nothing to do with how a person really is. But I did have a suit on when taken down in Sweden, go figure.

R0ach thought he was the luckiest man in the world when he saw he could buy a few hundred of kilograms of silver selling all his Bitcoin. He then thought that impressive amount of PM would make him richer than his wildest dreams. From a TA point of view, $10 looks like a very strong support and potential bounce. But, r0ach is always talking about costs of production and oil as the main factor. Oil price is gonna dump really hard over the next couple of decades. As much as electrical cars increase their market share the more affected will be the demand of oil. Main demand right now is coming from cars all over the world. Another interesting side effect is that long distance flights will become even cheaper.

Having bags of silver is just fine, its a good metal with impressive qualities across a range of uses.      Its also an industrial metal mined in conjunction with many simple metals like lead, this aspect can lead to oversupply in an economy especially if under retraction.

Hence silver is not going to be used so often as monetary backing as gold which has its stricter supply demand to it.    The big thing all tokens used for cash or commerce are going to get judged on eventually after speculation is actual usage and utility at that moment.  As a physical metal, bags of silver has to deal with more real world costs such as storage and security but also its naturally more solid long term.    BTC or other blockchains are going to have to keep increasing their usage and efficiency seems like to me, to compete with all the other alternatives and ideas like notes based off silver or whatever is not nearly as cutting edge and transformable as crypto

I cant imagine that happening especially in the long term, not without some nuclear winter scenario.   The metal is used and required, even if the world skipped its usage as a monetary asset.   If world growth takes some horrible knock, perhaps we ignore inflation and just label over it and call it growth then maybe silver is falling but $6 is saying the dollar is strong, stronger even and I find that prospect while deficits keep happening to be really unlikely.

Common beginner error.  Miners always have a wide range of production costs.  The production cost that is publicly reported is an average.  But the standard deviation is significant.

That means as prices fall below the average “cost of production” the top quartile producers go broke.  Meanwhile the bottom quartile producers are still highly profitable and pumping out product.  

The average cost of production falls as the price falls as inefficient producers are driven to the wall, often with little or no impact on global output.  It is not unusual for major miners to take advantage of this mnarket pressure and actually step up production to squeeze out the competition, further depressing price through dumping.

So you are a fool to rely on “production costs” to prop up commodity prices.

From a miner’s perspective, if your production costs are not in the bottom quartile, you need to exit that resource because you have no business being there.

I think its Warren Buffet who says he loves the cost of mining for gold on the high street.  His chain of pawn brokers is gaining gold at a substantially easier price then he could gain anywhere else.   Same for silver, theres a ton of silver spoons out there and so on.    In wars they just scrap every metal fence in sight, theres always supply of sorts and it should feedback to a higher price but doesnt have to be so immediately I guess
  
I know demand should be alot more then just silver sitting around but thats alot of slack in the system and maybe every metal has this type of availability.   Maybe scrappage is a bigger factor in weaker economies as anything goes.     Any time theres some kind of squeeze and people start referring to mining costs as a hard bottom, it probably isnt that hard and the market will supply via other means if hands are weak.  I think thats just how it goes, its why we get a spike down because in the moment price doesnt reflect the longer term considerations
