All the news of advances for Bitcoin are nice.

But in LN some actors are entering the game ...,of dubious origin, banks, institutions, startups, supported by the same. Roll Eyes

This as news is fine, you do not have the coins immobilized in LN waiting.

Crypto payment platform Bitrefill has launched Thor, a service that allows customers to open Lightning channels on demand. Thor will connect to Bitrefill's node on the Lightning Network, allowing users to receive Lightning payments whether they have bitcoin loaded into their Lightning wallets or not.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bitrefill-channel-opening-service-makes-accepting-lightning-payments-easy/

I would be very glad to have banks joining Lightning Network. That would be great news. This may sound impopular, but I have my reasons to think that would have a great outcome for all hodlers.

I do not know, I'm starting to have my doubts.

I'm radicalizing to the hard core. lol

I have even been accused in the past to be a "big blocker" supporter because I said I was in favor of a moderately increase of the blocksize (ie Segwit2x but absolutely against BU). At the same time I was absolutely pro Segwit and LN. Now I will probably be accused to be a bank shill when nothing is far from reality.

I just want what I think it will be best for the success of Bitcoin and all the people that have their money where their mouth is (ie hodlers).

I might be wrong though. Fortunately I am noone and my opinion counts shit.

+1 (this merit thing is starting to get annoying for WO leechers)

send him yours Smiley

especially you with that pacman avatar

why isn't that on a HAT yet ??

It would probably be too small in the patch plus he can't part with his avatar.

OK Homer, I capitulate. If you somehow manage a themed hat I will wear it with pride.

Tempted to buy some, but I told myself for the first time to be disciplined and stick to a limit order 10% below ATL.
Perhaps the sign of the bottom reached, is actually myself. Let's see, happy either way.

Pac man proved to be a tough caP, man!

 Avatar-sized

Hope it fits.

You sir are an artist, very creatively done. It is almost a shame the avatar is so small, love the trail covering the hat.
Thanks! And have my last merits please.

donated ONE for bitebits as well Smiley

Thanks Smiley

Thanks for the compliment but all the art that will ever appear on the hat is already in the hat; I just have to change the colour of a few pixels to make it appear.

If xhomerx10 will feel like making a hat, it would be nice. Thanks.

According to coinfairvalue, Bitcoin should be at $7415 right now.
https://www.coinfairvalue.com/

I was going to give you a merit for providing this source, yet when i reviewed the other coins assessed by the source, I see that a very large majority of the other coins listed therein are currently greatly undervalued based on their "utility" criteria.

Accordingly, even though there is some interesting described values contained therein, gotta take the whole matter with a considerable grain of salt because my overall consideration is that if you give a lot of weight to sound money, then the utility of bitcoin should become immensely distinguishable from almost all other coins on that they list on that site.

I have my rationality and I know it is pure and unbiased. No matter how impopular it might sound to some. As I said I do accept that I might be wrong though... no matter how much convinced I am in my thinking.

My question is can you or anyone else give me their best argument as to why the bottom is in or not.

From my perspective, your question is inappropriate useless.

Bitcoin is a new emerging asset class, in the initial throes of price discovery. To attempt to time this market is madness. Price goes up; price goes down - you can't explain that. All we really know is:
1) whether or not the world knows it or not, it needs a permissionless uncensorable form of money free from the whims of central planners; and
2) a vanishingly small percentage of the world has yet awaken to postulate 1).

From these two, we can conclude that the long term trend is up, and will remain so until such time that the world at large is onboard.

Ignore the noise. Buy today all you can conceivably afford to lose. Hodl on.

Pit pat piffy wing wang wong.

Bear waxes bullish..  Set defcon3.   Reluctantly issues +1 WOsMerit..

bitcoin

The market still feels at odds to me. The sentiment is high now but the trend is still downwards. This has led to a shallow channel over the last couple of days.

On the hourly it appears we will continue to trade downwards and sideways.

Thing's are not so clear further out. Its hard to judge if the cloud has already taken into account the bart sell off we just experienced. My gut is telling me that longs have not been squeezed enough nor has the bottom been tested thoroughly enough yet. Do your own research.

Had my 24 word seed tattooed along my penis, the burglar will have to impress me somehow before they can steal it.

The average word length for BIP39 seeds is 6.4 characters according to my extensive-1 sample. (10 lines)

Some definitions and assumptions:

  • The standard character size for text is 12 DTP-Point (abbreviated pt.)
  • ONE pt. = 1/72 of an inch
  • Twenty-four seed @ average word length of 6.4

 Calculation:

24 (words) X 6.4 (chars/word) X 12 pt X 72-1 in./pt. = 25.6 inches

Conclusion:

Seed word tattoo is split into two lines

hahahaha

More details.

Average erect penis size about 5 inches, so there may be cases in which more than 5 lines are going to be needed.  Will it fit?  Might not be a practical solution for the average guy?

I would be honoured to make a hat for you. Actually, I had already pre-emptively crafted a biodome themed hat (not the Pauly Shore movie!) for you but I wasn't sure that was the idea behind your name.  Seems it might have been so I'll look through my unpublished work to see if I can find and modify if for your avatar; if not, I'll start again.  Smiley

And so it came to pass, that partial reserve schemes were grafted onto the back of the Bitcoin network.

I can think of at least one strong reason why satoshi would like to sow doubt about his existence.

So in your example of a possible scenario he (Satoshi) would come out and pretend to be a total dick to not be outed properly as a genius?

Or perhaps satoshi is a total dick. I mean, why not?

As I recall, the initial outing was not uttered by CSW.

Yes he did, he told various people 'in confidence' and left clues lying around in the hope they would be picked up.

A particularity dickish thing to do.
