Waiting for your answer to my post.

The answer to your post is, there's lots of people who make believe they're rich when they really aren't because they have no way to control or defend their assets against the other 99.9%.  Hell, much of their assets rely on the 99.9% being able to purchase their goods but they can't.  It's just a system of phantom wealth everywhere.

In the end, the only wealth you have will be what you can hold in your hand and defend with a Natzee Luger, or what the consensus of your neighbors agree is yours.  There will obviously be massive redistribution and pillaging whether people want to believe so or not, or pretend they can avoid it.  No, non-fungible shitcoins are not in any way a benefit over metals in this, especially when your balance and account history is sitting right out in the open for the entire world to view it.

The so called "elite" put their money in private trusts to try and avoid things like this, confiscations, and turn their account balance and transactions opaque.  A non-fungible shitcoin is a step downwards in that regard.  If the world went Venezuela or simply Joseph Tantor style reduction in complexity and is mostly based around barter or whatever, digital shitcoins are not going to be of any value.  It will be physical metals ruling with an iron fist, so there is no lame shitcoin pumper talking points like "but muh shitcoins are easier to hide!".

You continue talking about gold vs. shitcoins when we're already past this topic.
I agree that in the end, your wealth is what you can hold and own physically. I doubt that in the world where this fact is true gold will be the king.
I'd rather own all the food that people need to exist and distribute it the way I want over owning a shiny piece of metal which is used 50% of the time for shiny pieces of shit that the brainless (in your opinion) women wear (https://www.statista.com/statistics/299609/gold-demand-by-industry-sector-share/)

You kinda miss the point that the odds of retaining your wealth while it's stored in metals is higher than that of owning a chain of grocery stores or food supply chain.  Without highly effective martial law on every street corner, your grocery store and everything else will probably just be an empty building, so how is that a great investment?  You might even lose possession of the empty building too.  Your entire train of thought requires faith in and effectiveness of martial law.

The idea is not owning a grocery store but owning the land and the means needed to grow something on this land. Own the whole production cycle.
What wealth do you have in a metal that is used for shiny pieces that brainless (in your opinion) women wear?
Gold is probably the biggest scam in the World so far.  I wonder when it will also burst?
Heck, it was not even used for almost anything else than jewelry until 100 max 150 years ago.
Ancient Egyptians loved gold but in fact, they never traded it. Most Egyptians used agricultural products like barley as a de-facto form of money.
Gold was a form to say "Hey, I'm imaginary rich cause I have a shiny metal on my neck/finger/dick. I  traded it for 100 cows."
Church/Bible (another big scam) played also a VERY important role in creating the Gold cult.
And as we know religion scam is still trending as well as gold scam if I might call it that way.

....  Perhaps this would be a good day for a wee nip.

well just remember,
one "wee nip" is too many... and ten is not enough....

I think we need more research

Purrfect day for it. A solid eight inches or more down in the lowlands has the city near paralyzed.

after a few more rounds of research things escalated into applied hydrodynamics..rather exhausted now..think a nap will do..meow?

We had around 60cm of snow 2 days ago, now it's finally raining which will clear up some of it. But tomorrow night back to sub zero, we've had only 2 nights -25 Celsius this year, probably at least a week or more of that coming too. Snow is nice in the country areas, pain in the ass in the city.

I'm in silver myself, but anyway, the value of imaginary, centralized, valueless digital tokens is zero, so if you consider gold "the biggest scam in the world", then imaginary, digital shitcoins are the biggest scam in the world squared.  Humans have an actual use for physical commodities.  They have no use for fake, imaginary ones.

Well, xhomerx, as you can see, I went back to your hat. The fork hat was cool and all with the moving fish. However, I found the fact that it was on a constant loop annoying. This prodigal son has returned. Just goes to show you that even though a fork may have all kinds of bells and whistles, the original always has better fundamentals.

Sure, I agree with you. The whole world today is a form of scam that people must reject if they want to evolve. If not, we're surely going to self-extinction.
Crypto is a new form of an old scam called gold (precious metals). And it has the potential to rise in value the same way that the scam of gold (precious metals) did.
It will be shilled the same way Gold was shilled by Bible/Church. The thing is Bible/Church is not that powerful it was so instead people who are popular today will shill it and some of them already do calling crypto "digital gold". It's a long process that might of course fail, but it might also succeed.
The question we must answer to is - what in this world is true and has a value that is directly related to our well being.

You can, by enacting campaign finance restrictions and enforcing anti-corruption measures.

Someone mentioned the opendime thing. It's physical, and I don't need permission to pay someone with the value in it. I just hand over the opendime device and he's now holding the bitcoins stored in it. He can check any time.

Of course, you have to be careful with it as the private keys are on the device itself.

As for centralized transaction validators, they haven't stopped hackers from broadcasting transactions when they stole millions or billions of coins and tokens from hacked exchanges.

Sure, Binance may have frozen some funds (good PR for them), but that's a centralized exchange.

You do a little decent opsec, no transaction validator that is designed to centralize will ever not give you permission. Altho, I concede, you'd still have to pay a fee, but at least it's competitively low these days.

Chase Bank Shuts Down Proud Boys Leader’s Personal Bank Account – BLP

By Waldo Crane

Feb 8, 2019

Enrique Tarrio, who is the Chairman of the Proud Boys fraternal organization, had his personal Chase bank account shut down abruptly earlier this week.

In a letter obtained exclusively by Big League Politics, the bank informs him that he must shut down all of his accounts by April 1st, 2019, without giving a reason.

This comes just days after Chase Bank’s payment processor, Chase Paymentech, de-platformed him on a website he runs that allows groups and charities to sell merchandise, and raise money for causes. The website, 1776.shop, is most known for selling the famous “Roger Stone Did Nothing Wrong” shirts which Stone was spotted in during the late-night arrest at his home.

Tarrio has been facing months of backlash for his affiliation with the Proud Boys, first getting onto the radar in an article published on The Daily Beast, which asserts that people of color are joining white supremacist organizations. Tarrio is both Cuban, and black, and was profiled in that article.

The Proud Boys, despite simply being a fraternal organization that believes in Western culture, have been smeared as a hate group. Gavin McInnes, the group’s founder, is currently suing the SPLC over their hate group label.

Since the Daily Beast article, Tarrio has been facing an onslaught of targeting by both tech companies, and financial services.

He tells Big League Politics he has been banned from the following services, among others:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram
  • Airbnb
  • FirstData
  • Square
  • Stripe
  • PayPal

Speaking to Big League Politics, Tarrio questions why so many major companies feel the need to target him.

“My political views pretty much mirror those of President Donald Trump,” Tarrio says. “But the media, and groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center, smear me trying to tie me, an Afro-Cuban, to ideologies that would force me out of my own country if they went into effect. It’s completely asinine and based completely outside of reality.”

Now that he has lost his bank account, his own life will become much more difficult, as Tarrio explains.

“How am I supposed to get food to feed my family? Are taking the directions of the Governor of Virginia and trying to abort me 34 years after birth,” Tarrio questions. “They are essentially denying my existence, and trying to force me into homelessness, and ultimately death.”

Tarrio believes that unless President Donald Trump steps in, the de-platforming and dehumanizing of conservatives will continue.

“He needs to step in, not only because if he doesn’t he will lose in 2020 with all of his supporters being kicked off social media, but because it’s the right thing to do,” Tarrio finishes.

Literally this guy would be facing a death sentence or homelessness at best if it weren't for the existence of bitcoin. And he is just the beginning. Never has there been more need or a stronger case for cryptocurrency and yet the price is falling... It makes zero sense.

I mean these are the kids of things that inform my investment decision making. This is how I approach and think about investing. And I'm patient and trust my reasoning and so far it has worked out well enough for me. But in this climate, the price SHOULD NOT be falling.

There is an asset out there that people are on the cusp of being forced into adopting whether they like it or not, and the price of that asset is falling. How long can that continue?

^This brief time span in history will be known as the period where women erroneously thought they were more intelligent and more important than men simply because they spent orders of magnitude more time and money on physical appearance, clothes, and putting on makeup.  Everything is presentation and no substance.

You're just a little grumpy because you'll never have kids. aren't you?

Kids doesn’t come from wrestling the snake...............

'Snake' might be being somewhat overly generous, tho.
