As long as capitalism reigns supreme pollution to the environment won't stop, everything is about money.

I disagree. I cant eat money or bitcoins..nor can I drink or breath them. However, I think your statement sums up what I was really trying to say and that is this is not a political or a religious problem. This is something that is affecting each and everyone of us at a fundamental level. Worse than that, it is something that can only be fully solved by future generations even if we had complete consensus on a solution today. Let us put away the fear and distrust and focus on resolving the problems.

I know many of you already watch or listen to the JRE but this recent episode has some great insights into another looming issue, job losses to automation amongst other some other interesting topics. I am trying to imagine the US having a really smart president someday and for the life of me can not figure out why that is so hard to do..  Anyway..I am not advocating a particular political stance one way or another..just trying to present some interesting views on topics that I think are becoming more and more relevant as we prepare to enter the next decade.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Has anyone else noticed how the trolls (Big dick, rebal15 et al) all seem to post here almost simultaneously?
Makes you wonder if they are one and the same person or perhaps even a bot.

You need to create two topics, one to talk about food, the other to talk about dildos.
Please respect the valu of bitcoin.
LOL who is doing the disrespect. We do football and movies too 😋

By the way, anyone up for Champion League.

I am off to see Ajax vs Real. I predict Real to win by 3 - 1 and other one 2 - 2 however I placed a bet for over 1.5 for both games. I hope I win.

3-1 or 3-0 real =Ok

spurs WIN 2-1
Ajax - real 1-2 Karim Benzema

Yes. Uefa Mafia. Real would probably win over 2 matches anyway, why do they need to cheat?

As long as capitalism reigns supreme pollution to the environment won't stop, everything is about money.
If everything was about money, people wouldn't be pushing for organic food.

It's obvious that you've got capitalism backwards. There are needs and desires, markets emerge to satisfy them. In this order.

Things just take time. And they're going pretty smooth as they are when considering the amount of idiots breeding like animals.

Capitalism sure is an efficient way to distribute resources,  9 vacant homes for every homeless person in America.

Don't you realize that nearly every technological innovation has been founded by the public sector. (cell phones, gps, space travel, internet)

We are socializing the losses and privatizing the gains.

Also I am quite wealthy myself but I want to see society succeed in the best way possible.

Even if you literally give every person in the world a mansion, there will still be people who will lose them and end up on the streets.

With money coming from where exactly?

Not a flaw of capitalism, but governmental overreach enabling bad actors.

By distributing everything "equally"? How frequently do you think you'll have to do this? Because I can guarantee you one thing, there will always be a top 1% (give or take) in every category. It's a fundamental feature of our reality as far as the evidence is concerned.

I see we disagree heavily,  my main goal is to give people a baseline like an UBI.  We are missing out on a lot of potential by people stuck in poverty that go through extreme stress and are never able to achieve anything great.  I believe everyone should at least have their basics met: education, healthcare, housing, food.

I'm not saying everyone has to be equal but I believe there should do a better job of lifting people up that never had a chance to begin with.

You are rich right? Go do that with your money and shut the fuck up about how the rest of us use ours.

There is only so much one person can do.  Don't you realize crime and violence happens mostly because of poverty.  I'm a bad person for wanting to make the world a better place?

Others people's money is a dangerous word.  Profit is the unpaid value that workers create.  So really a lot of money is just stolen from others.
Workers get a guaranteed salary, regardless of how the business is going.

They don't participate in the risk and have no right to the payouts that the risk brings. There are equity options for those that care about putting their salary on the line.

Not to mention it's a voluntary exchange. So nothing stolen here whatsoever.

Except for the case that you tried to argue against (e.g. "other people's money"). Nobody asked if they want to pay taxes.

This is the wrong place for me to talk about socialism, Universal basic income.  Most bitcoiners are hardcore libertarians.

Even Elon Musk admits that wealth distribution will be mandatory very soon with the rise of automation.

Joe Rogan had a recent convo with Yang about UBI  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAtyv8NpbFQ

You gain more fiat in a bull market.

You gain more bitcoin in a bear market.

You learn to value your wealth in bitcoin and it becomes simple.

You learn to realize this may be the last chance people can afford an entire bitcoin and catching the bottom means less and less.

NASDAQ to add a bitcoin index on its platform.

They are reading the writing on the wall and don't want to get left behind.

There is no stopping this.

Adoption happens gradually right in front of you, until you finally pause, look around, and bitcoin is the dominant asset.
