Weekly Cloud overview. #dyor

This chart would suggest price is likely to stay around $4k (=/- 1k) until June 2020.

I would guess that is not a popular view. Most posters would refuse to believe it.

It also suggests a final wave 5 dip under 3K.

Several of us accept that as a very real possibility.

Inspired by Kurious' recent post, I'd like to post about some related things I've been thinking about:

It seems there are two schools of thought regarding the bubble cycle we've just begun.

  • That it will be the same length as every other cycle, as dictated by the halvings. Bubble top: late 2021/early 2022
  • Or, that the cycles have been lengthening, and therefore our current cycle will be the longest and hit the top later than in previous cycles. Bubble top: late 2022/early 2023

There's a great debate, on this exact subject, between two of the best analysts on crypto twitter here: https://twitter.com/filbfilb/status/1078316170493734918

It seems that scenario 2 is the consensus among the majority of analysts (and previously myself) - that the next bubble will gain a lower percentage than previous bubbles, and it will take longer. Something like this:

However, there are reasons to believe that may not be the case:

[snip]
Hey infofront - well done for taking the time to really dig deep.

Great post, great research and graphics too.  Classy stuff.

I do enjoy the thread thinking for itself and challenging accepted dogma - the quality and variety of expertise here is as wide as the subjects covered in these pages; it's capable of applying independent thought to almost anything under the sun.... and far, far beyond it.

Long live the WO!

EDIT: for sense and stuff

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we're still over $5k... currently $5020USD/$6706CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Just last week we were battling to stay above $4k.

Pamplona.

Go Bitcoin go.

My GF knows I wouldn't hesitate to do that [kick her off cliff] if she suggested selling even *HER* Bitcoins. (*)

(*) After the last bubble "fiasco", I gave her permission to start *trying to convince me* above a certain (undisclosed) future price though.

heh from the beginning for many years she was always wanting me to sell btc for this and that. and i did, to a point.

now, after what btc has done for us in the last few years, she is the one thats the btc hoarder. if i suggest selling btc for some reason she is like "no!! save those for later!!!!"

My gf was moaning throughout most of 2018 telling me I’d thrown away the chance for us to be rich. She was upset & cried a lot to be honest Cheesy
She said bitcoin is dead & I threw away X amount of money etc but I told her this is how it goes, a normal cycle.

Now she’s checking the price 10 times a day again, telling me to buy all the time.

Fucking women hey Cheesy

If I got five seconds of that from someone I'd chuck them in the nearest river. Assuming you both put money in why didn't divide your hoard? She'd be free to ruin herself on condition that she never moaned about it.

I submitted my vote and most of it are in the 6K Usd Per btc. I still remeber last year this month of april made a good market price for crypto and then it made a downfall on may. It brought back to good on june and july until august. And after tha bitcoin falls down.

But, to this moment I think it is time already for next ATH. And I think it will be on 20K USD. This is the possible ATH in the near future. Well, I am not good in predicting but hopefully it will.

I think LFC did a the investment alone not? But however he HODLs it and make sure they both be happy with the outcome, btw gentlemand don't be to harsh, not everyone gets it from second 1....
we see many OG's in this thread as well being here since 2011-12 or so... if they would be instant strong believers from day one ... but NO also on this thread there have been guys fsold there CORN to early and stuff, though I think @this moment we are a thread of strong HODLers/believers.

LFC's GF didn't got it from day one, hopefully she's getting skilled by LFC, yeah I think she is -----> she's telling him to buy so all is good there  Grin

You should've bought $250 worth of limited edition 'collector's' plates with airbrushed photos of howling wolves on for your mother as an investment and then tell her a few years down the line you paid for them with the bitcoin you were holding back for her.

I have varying elderly female relatives who've been given BTC. They're just as hard core as I am.
